Black holes, by their very nature, don't emit sound waves in the traditional sense. Sound waves need a medium, like air or water, to travel through, and space is a vacuum, devoid of any medium for sound to propagate. However, scientists can use a technique called sonification to translate data about black holes into sound. This involves assigning specific sounds to different aspects of the data, such as changes in the intensity or frequency of the radio waves emitted by the black hole. For example, NASA has used sonification to create audio representations of: Light echoes from the black hole V404 Cygni. These echoes are caused by the black hole's gravitational pull distorting the light from a nearby star. By assigning different pitches to different wavelengths of light, scientists were able to create an eerie, otherworldly soundscape.

What they are likely experiencing is a sonification, where data from other wavelengths, such as X-rays or radio waves, is converted into sound. It's a way to make complex astronomical data more accessible. Keep in mind that you're not hearing actual sounds from space since sound doesn't travel through the vacuum of space. Instead, it's a creative representation based on scientific data.

@jaby : At 06:10 The stone refers to the Kohinoor diamond - the one the British took from India and have it in their crown jewels. In almost every post about the Queen, the top comments from Indians would be asking to return the stone.
7:23 so some of the fast moving things which are close to a black hole, but not too close, form an orbital around it, which is called an accretion disk. These are very hot and things inside it are moving violently, it is turbulent. There are charged particles moving inside. And as we all know moving charges produce a magnetic field. So the accretion disks produce very strong and unstable magnetic fields, which throw material from the inside of the disk. The material is launched as Jetstream at high speeds. These are like pressure waves that hit the surrounding gas and dust, creating ripples of pressure waves. These are very low frequency. Scientists can observe these low frequency waves and get data on that. Now simply they convert this data to audible sound waves. I think it's called sonification, converting pressure waves to audible sound.

So Jaby, everything that's happening around the black hole has a sound but it can't travel as sound wave due to the void. But it travels like in the forms.. that is radiations of different spectrum. This spectrum are captured and analysed to hear how it may sound.
In space, there is no air or medium for sound waves to propagate in the traditional sense we experience on Earth. Sound requires a medium, like air, water, or solid materials, to carry the vibrations from a source to our ears. However, in astrophysics, scientists use the term "sound" metaphorically when referring to pressure waves or oscillations in certain cosmic structures, like galaxy clusters. These are not sound waves in the audible sense but rather variations in density and temperature that can be observed through different forms of radiation, such as X-rays. When researchers sonify data from these cosmic structures, they map the variations in temperature, density, or other properties to sound parameters for human interpretation. The sonification process doesn't involve the actual propagation of sound waves through a medium; instead, it's a way to represent complex data in a form that can be audibly analyzed and interpreted.

i think its about that
In space, there is no air or medium for sound waves to propagate in the traditional sense we experience on Earth.
First time seeing jaby laughed so hard 😂😂
Elephant nose = Earth orbit😂
This girl needs to watch Corridor Crew's breakdown of moon landing. Maybe it will help her realize important things.
