Hi Rachel, lovely top, great color! Wow.... you had some fun mail this week! Hugs ❤
Your top does look like it would be great for work.
I adore those Japanese Cottons. I went to their site and got drool on my IPad.
Love the top, sounds easy to make! Thanks for sharing, I also love that fabric, I must have a look x
How fun Rachel… I know Agnes too! I just saw her in June. She and Lucy (Geet Petite) planned to surprise me. I swear my teeth dropped out of my head when she showed up at our hotel! The gifts for you and the baby are just wonderful and so thoughtful. Sewing people are the best! Your top looks so comfortable as well with lovely fabric. Have a fun weekend sewing. I’m just finishing up the Isla Wrap Dress from Jennifer Lauren Handmade in Liberty Tana Lawn! It’s not my usual design for fabric. It has tall skinny buildings from Amsterdam all over it! Very colorful.
Hey Rachel Gabrielle from Cloth edit is such a generous lady beautiful fabrics I made a t shirt dress from a good quality modal jersey she had ps those fabric samples I made a pin cushion thanks for explaining the Athina top will size down as wasn't sure if the neckline would end up too small
Love your top! An entire weekend to do as you please is such a gift. I hope you get to relax and really enjoy it! ❤
Happy Valley is just incredible! We watched season 1 & 2 again over Christmas ready for the latest one which is equally fabulous!
Xxx
Wonderful gifts 🎉 I love hearing stories of great generosity, fills my heart with hope. I look forward to seeing what you create with all your gifted fabrics.
You look absolutely beautiful ❤. We’ve just finished the 2nd series of Happy Valley (although Steve calls it Unhappy Valley😂)
Haha yes it’s anything but!
Beautiful fabrics, your daughters baby will have loads of beautiful clothes, your top looks very comfy x
What sweet friends you have made through your sewing channel it’s so awesome. I love the the top you are wearing I have printed the pattern out just need to cut it out. Thanks for the tip on the sleeves.enjoy your weekend to yourself. Xxxx
Oh my, I absolutely love the fabric yo've been gifted by both the ladies, however the floral ones are just devine. Love them and will definitely check out them out. Just glorious! The wee cardi you were gifted is also so damn cute. Was lovely to meet you Rachel. You're an absolute sewing ace - I just made two pockets! Thanks for making me so welcome. Take care and see you soon😻 Oh meant to say re. your new topyou sewed, I made the Tessuti Mandy Boat Tee and it has the arms like the one you made and I felt were too tight too. 😻
Morning Rachel, I’m the same when I have time to create, I have a hard time deciding what to make or where to start. I found the Tessuti Mandy Boat Tee too tight on my upper arm when I made it. The fabric from Gabriel, Cloth Edit, is stunning. All I can see is a slip dress to show off all that luscious print. Have a fantastic weekend. Val ❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧🍷
I must comment about Happy Valley! In the US, it was broadcast on our PBS station a few years ago. I loved it! It's so dark, edgy, and ironic that there's nothing "happy" about it. Don't know what it says about me, but I love the dark British shows. 🙂
Love your fabrics! I just signed up for their email list.🧵
I have to say our British dramas are usually amazing, it’s set in a valley not to far from me
It was lovely to meet you at last Rachel, you're top turned out fab, a whole top with French seams in 2.5 hours & chatting too, amazing & the colour is gorgeous 😍
Happy Valley is simply amazing! X
I’m addicted!
I love it! Waiting for season 3 to be available!
Love a day to potter, enjoy the peace and quiet 😊
What lovely gifts and that fabric is stunning. Can’t wait to see what you make with them. Your hair looked really lovely today 😊
Love your top lovely - the fabric could have been from us? We sold that design in a few different colours xxx
Loving your top Rachel and the colour is 👌 on you. That little cardigan for Brontë's baby...so so cute 💛. Gorgeous fabrics from Cloth Edit ... can't wait to see what you make from them 😁👍💝😘
That yellow sweater is precious! ❤
Love the Athena top... I have the pattern and had not thought about double gauze. Thanks for the inspiration :)
Stunning fabrics from the Cloth Edit and love your Athina blouse in the double gauze❤ Look forward to seeing your jacket and whatever else you decide to sew this weekend 😃
. Once again a lovely vlog. The gifts are very thoughtful and lovely. I love the linen silk fabric. I shall go hunting for some shortly. . xx
Rachel, I love your videos….your enthusiasm always inspires me! ❤
Yey a happy weekend. Love hearing about the sewcials and seeing those gorgeous fabrics
The colour you are wearing looks stunning on you, Rachel. Lovely, lovely gifts, too!
Oh my word, that silk linen fabric from cloth edit is stunning! Lucky lady.
Those florals from Cloth Edit are so gorgeous. Especially the pink one, can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Your fabrics are just stunning and your top you made looks great.
I think l might make one of them for work to.
I have made a few items with the Cloth Edit linen and silk blend they are lovely to wear.
Cloth edit she so so lovely. Love her fabrics
Thanks for the sizing tip on the Athena top. I have been meaning to make that for ages. I had a similar fitting issue with a Burda pattern. For my bust size I was larger than the largest size, but measuring the pattern I made the smallest size, because there was so much ease. But I didn’t think about the sleeves and they are ok but the next time I make it the sleeve will be larger. Burda Magazines don’t give finished size measurements.
Thank you for another lovely vlog. Your top looks great, and thsoe gifts are very special. I have bought fabric from Gabrielle, both linen silk and the Japanese cotton. It is so beautfiful and I have not seen similar elsewhere. I am very tempted now to buy more but need to focus on making up some of the fabric and patterns I already have (sound familiar?).
Wow the silk linen is stunning! I'm going to look at more now. X
Love your top Rachel, the fabric really suits you! I know it says suitable for wovens but would it work in a knit fabric do you think? ❤
🐯
I'm doing the Amelia jacket with you and have not even stuck the pattern together yet:( Can I ask if you will still do your sew alongs? I would love to do one with you guys one time. Have a wonderful weekend xx
I was wondering if it was me with the sleeve size on the tessuti pattern, I've made the same alterations xx
