(1) In a few years, your "logs", that you're stacking, will warp (e.g. you will see sunlight coming in). That's why you see so many log cabins that end up with siding over them. That's okay. If it isn't too much, you can use colored caulk. (2) Make sure not to insulate you ceiling all the way to the roof metal. Leave at least a couple of inches for air to move around. If you don't, the roof will rust out. Great Job, it looks pretty exciting.
My uncle Hurk owns ice house by loon lake ca and 1.2 million acres I worked for his logging company in the mid 70's He taught us air day only if your building anything for your family.
Sturdier than new construction !!!.. thinkin about buyin a sawmill myself!!!
I think this looks great! I am Canadian and log cabins like this are perfect. It's square logs kinda skandanvanian style 😊. Great job!
If you were up around my area at all I have a wood stove I would happily give you for that area.

Yep, that's what chinking is for 👍
Yeah, I expect to have to chink it as it dries. I might just use mid. I haven’t decided yet.
Sorry to hear about your friend Zec. That addition is gonna be epic.

That's the plan!
That is some nice looking lumber.
To say that looks sturdy would be an understatement.....is that the good old Bolens I see?
No Bolens, that would be awesome though.
