I remember seeing Ratt live, about 10 times, in the 80's-90's...
During Bobby Blotzers drum solo, his drum sounds were mechanical enhanced to sound like pinball machine...with the light show to go with it, it was unbelievable !!!

Bobby is one of my favorite hard hitter drummers of the 1980s LA scene, yet it was his unique work on the cymbals that I took interest in. His cymbal style was clairvoyant among many drummers of his day, plus he was always dedicated Paiste guy especially using the China and swishes. Bobby could really do the all the cymbal chokes and the directions he chooses up and down the toms. Played the ride cymbal on the upbeat on the song Back for More.
As it was recently explained by Beau Hill, Bobby's shortcoming were he did not write any songs, and was best identified as paid to provided drum ideas that did not qualify as melody and lyrics so there was long hedged disharmony about it.
