Question 5 which is the last question of paper 1 is challenging to most leamers. The purpose of this question is to test language skills across various components as stated in the annual teaching plan for English first additional language. To ace the section, one needs intense practice as well as revision of various language structures (correction of errors, active and passive voice, direct and indirect speec e.t.c)

A clause is a complete thought, that contains a subject and a verb or ( predicate). A phrase is a group of words that modify ( explains further) provide additional information in a sentence, however cannot be regarded as a complete thought.
