It is often overlooked that in fact Saiki and Miku are dual vocalists for probably 50% or more of the time because the focus is largely on Saiki and their voices match extremely well, this becomes very apparent when you watch a complete concert,
Very entertaining reaction, I loved it. Your maid outfit is great also, the Maids would give you two thumbs up for it. Like you, Miku's scream in Manners always gets me, but the harmonies and call and response vocals between Saiki and Miku on top of the intense, controlled chaos of a song in Black Hole is just fantastic.

In my humble opinion they are the greatest hard rock band around and probably for the last 30-40 years or so. I only wish they could take their tour from US to Europe...it's been a while!
Your maid costume is very cute, I think those worn by the band are custom fitted so they are probably more comfortable. All of the Maids are very good singers, but it seems Miku decided in the early days they needed a lead vocalist. I think the way Saiki says courage in the song Manners is so cute :)
They are now. In the beginning they used standard uniforms as sold to Maid Café employees. Over time as they got more and more exposure they actually had the money to have their outfits custom made/tailored.

Your maid costume is fantastic! Now you need to figure out the color of the rose for your bonnet. I don't remember right now, but the different colors are supposed to mean different things. You might notice Akane's outfit is quite different because they had to do significant custom alterations to it to allow her arms and legs the freedom of movement to play drums. Other than that, I hear Miku's is the cosplay style like she wore when she worked at the Japanese Maid Cafe. Kanami's looks a little longer, more like the European style maid uniform. Saiki rocks that Spanish inspired Maidre de style outfit... and Misa finally settled with the black Chinese inspired domestic maid style outfit.
I read that Kanami's is a cross between a maids dress and a Princess' dress with a much fuller skirt area. In an interview translation I read over on reddit of Miku and Kanami, Kanami said she only had 3 requirements for her outfit. No deep neckline, no short skirt and she has to be able to move so it can't restrict her. MISA's is styled after a Cheongsam (If I spelled that right) a Chinese style dress, Saiki's is stylized of what has been referred to as a Children's Nurse or Governess again of the Spanish style, Akane's is styled after a page boy/footman outfit. And Miku's is as you said based around Cos-play and the Maid Café outfits. All of the Ladies outfits are heavily sparkled especially Saiki's and Miku's In a behind the scenes video under very bright lights Saiki and Miku's outfits almost look like they are sequined.
You won't lose any fans giving these rave reviews about The Maids and dressing as 1..well that shows you are a true believer. Love those gloves for an added bonus. Yes all of them are super talented in 1 way or another and the production team do a great job of mixing their music. Akane does an amazing job in Black Hole. Super fast and variable as ever. It's a credit that she can keep up to the speed with this 1. 'The song is a really complex one with so much going on. Really needs so many listens to take in everything. Complex chaos. Kanami's solo in Rinne is priceless. Her fret work is really 2nd to none. Great reaction and super appreciate Bisscute.
Miku originally designed the maid costumes......But I think Saiki now has more input..as well as some from MISA...Kanami was pretty much happy to wear what ever was given her...hehe!..I think she just what's to be on a stage and playing..even if it meant wearing an old sack!..Saiki used to do some clothes modeling...She is very much into her clothes....and loves her shoe collection (with lots of trainers)....Then again what woman isn't ?.

Bisscute, awesome outfit! The Manners/Black Hole video really shows their versatility as a group. Misa, their bassist said that Manners was her favorite song. I can see that! Her bass was prominent throughout the song. I really love those young women. I kind of feel they're the best rock group out there right now.
Rinne is a great song choice. they have only played this song live once in the United States. It just happened to be when they played Annaheim this year.

In the beginning Mike design and oversaw the making of the costumes. And she washed and ironed them after each performance. Today she works with a stylist on the design and the costumes are made by a fashion house. Their road manger is responsible for the cleaning and ironing of the costumes. Warning: Don't play poker with Miku, you most likely will lose!!
Saiki has a strong leading voice and that lovely gravel voice in parts. But Miku has arguably the wider range. As a Band it is hard to find a band that is so together, that doesn't have show off music but everything fits so well together. . Next year is their ten years anniversary and yet they never feel as if they are repeating themselves. Love the reaction and I agree about Akane. A wonderful drummer.
I was busy looking at the guitar the girl in the maid outfit was playing. She switched from what i think was an Ibanez in the first part to the glitter blue Gibson Les Paul for the second part. Kanami the lead guitarist plays Custom PRS guitars..She has several..(before those she played Addictone Custom 24 guitars).The other guitarist Miku (also band founder) plays Zemaitis guitars ( the model shown in Manners looks to be her custom made "Ace's & Eight's").....The bassist MISA plays Black Cloud "Black Smoker" Special Reserve 5 String bass guitars..Though in Manners it looks like her Fender American Jazz Deluxe Ash Natural IV....But I''m no expert...
Heh...they're all in maid outfits. The guitars you're seeing are PRS Custom 24s for Kanami on lead and Zemaitis guitars for Miku on rhythm. They're both sponsored by these brands and they do switch guitars for different songs...some are composed in standard tuning and some are in drop-D. For Manners Miku was playing her signature 'Flappy Pigeon' model. For Black Hole and Rinne it was an A24MF 'Aces and Eights.'
@@Bodneyblue Misa's bass in Manners is also a Black Cloud. She had it designed as a relic. The colour she specified was 'cigarette smoke'. Not sure of the model though.
There are 2 guitar players. Kanami, the lead plays PRS Customs. Miku, the rhythm and second vocals, plays Zemaitis guitars, usually Les Paul style bodies.
Different members. The lead guitarist Kanami is using a purple PRS the rhythm guitarist Miku ( who also sings ) is using a Zemaitis guitar which is kinda shaped like a Les Paul The first one that you saw is a Black cloud Bass guitar played by Misa.

It's a complete lie that earphones can project the real sound of the bass. It is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. If you love bass, you need a sub-woofer that gets down to the 40Htz range, to FEEL it in your gut. That is how it's like when it was recorded, and when it's played in concert. All that the headphones can do is "fake it" by bringing all of the bottom up to sounds that headphones can actually produce.

Akane wears shorts and her top is very thin nylon (or something synthetic), because she works very hard and needs something that won't get soaked.

In the beginning Mike design and oversaw the making of the costumes. And she washed and ironed them after each performance.
Today she works with a stylist on the design and the costumes are made by a fashion house. Their road manger is responsible for the cleaning and ironing of the costumes.

Saiki has a strong leading voice and that lovely gravel voice in parts. But Miku has arguably the wider range. As a Band it is hard to find a band that is so together, that doesn't have show off music but everything fits so well together. . Next year is their ten years anniversary and yet they never feel as if they are repeating themselves. Love the reaction and I agree about Akane. A wonderful drummer.

I was busy looking at the guitar the girl in the maid outfit was playing. She switched from what i think was an Ibanez in the first part to the glitter blue Gibson Les Paul for the second part. Kanami the lead guitarist plays Custom PRS guitars..She has several..(before those she played Addictone Custom 24 guitars).The other guitarist Miku (also band founder) plays Zemaitis guitars ( the model shown in Manners looks to be her custom made "Ace's & Eight's").....The bassist MISA plays Black Cloud "Black Smoker" Special Reserve 5 String bass guitars..Though in Manners it looks like her Fender American Jazz Deluxe Ash Natural IV....But I''m no expert...
Heh...they're all in maid outfits. The guitars you're seeing are PRS Custom 24s for Kanami on lead and Zemaitis guitars for Miku on rhythm. They're both sponsored by these brands and they do switch guitars for different songs...some are composed in standard tuning and some are in drop-D. For Manners Miku was playing her signature 'Flappy Pigeon' model. For Black Hole and Rinne it was an A24MF 'Aces and Eights.'
@@Bodneyblue Misa's bass in Manners is also a Black Cloud. She had it designed as a relic. The colour she specified was 'cigarette smoke'. Not sure of the model though.
There are 2 guitar players. Kanami, the lead plays PRS Customs. Miku, the rhythm and second vocals, plays Zemaitis guitars, usually Les Paul style bodies.

It's a complete lie that earphones can project the real sound of the bass. It is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. If you love bass, you need a sub-woofer that gets down to the 40Htz range, to FEEL it in your gut. That is how it's like when it was recorded, and when it's played in concert. All that the headphones can do is "fake it" by bringing all of the bottom up to sounds that headphones can actually produce.
