Yes, that was Chris Martin @2:01. Jin is the oldest BTS member, and the first to enter military service. He did not have time to make an album before he left, as the other members did. He was released from service June 12th, and is currently working on one now.

I love all of the BTS members but Jin’s voice always makes me feel so emotional. I always feel like his voice is giving me a loving hug, warm and gentle. I love every BTS songs and their solo music but Jin’s music and vocals are very special to me. Jin was literally approached on the street by the talent scouts based on his looks. They brought him in and taught him to sing like a pro and he had to work very hard to learn dancing. The great thing is that Jin was going to school to be an actor and he is a natural comedian, so he has done very well on camera

He has worked really really hard with coaches. Korean critics call him silver voice because of the clarity and stability.. Jin flew 36 hrs each way to perform this one song live with Coldplay at one of their Argentina concerts. It's fun to see them play the instruments and sing along with him. It's also pretty emotional. This concert was aired live in theaters and you can find it on YT if you're interested. And he might have been singing it to you--it was made for ARMY. 💜

Coldplay is one of Jin’s favourite artists. BTS covered “Fix You” for their MTV Unplugged concert and then Coldplay got word that BTS would love to do a song together. My Universe is a Coldplay x BTS song (banger!) and when Jin was leaving to go to the military, he asked Chris Martin to help him make a song as a “goodbye for now” for ARMY. And The Astronaut was born. 🥰 You can hear Chris doing the backing vocals throughout. There are several interviews with Chris Martin talking about working with BTS and he has so many lovely things to say about them. There’s also a little documentary about them recording My Universe which I think you should check out. It’s about 12-15 mins long iirc. There is also a live performance of this song with Coldplay in Argentina. Jin flew out to join Coldplay for one night just to perform this once for ARMY before he went to the military. Love the Shins (and the Garden State) comparison, although it's Coldplay through and through. Chris and son Moses do much of the harmonies in this masterpiece.
The first two things you will find as you listen to JIN is that 1: he has an incredible and rarely seen ability to transmit emotions when he sings, making each song an experience and 2: he sounds even much better in live performances. Yes his type of songs might reflect more of songs sang by bands…you could tell his musical influences are from there just like Coldplay, Goo Goo Dolls… for me the songs that has that vibe/melody is this song and epiphany. 100% Epiphany by Jin, it’s definitely a ballad that helps you discover self love is a very meaningful song and it is also one of those that will become a lot of people’s anthem ,this song catches old rock and ballads, spirit. and shows a lot of feelings and he has a great voice. Jin is the Astronaunt who crashed to earth was out of place but found a friend in a little girl Amy and decided his home was earth in the end. Amy represents ARMY and the song is saying he's going away for a while which of course he did 18months in the military and that he's returning. He's only just returned and the next day he did a fan concert and hugged a line 1,000 fans one at a time.
All the members of BTS are extremely hard working with a work ethic that seems superhuman. But Jin, I feel, had to work even beyond that to keep up. He was recruited based on looks but he fought hard to show he is more than a beautiful face. And in the process he developled this hilarious persona as world wide handsome. And learned to love himself. He's my bias for those reasons and many more.
My favorites of the group are V and Jungkook. My fave solo song has been V’s song Fri(end)s. He’s a great actor too. Loved V’s acting in the IU music video Love Wins All. She has a beautiful voice if you haven’t heard her before

The first two things you will find as you listen to JIN is that 1: he has an incredible and rarely seen ability to transmit emotions when he sings, making each song an experience and 2: he sounds even much better in live performances. His live always go viral since his stability in his voice becomes evident and he sound more powerful and angelic. He is about to release his first solo album, I assure you, you won't want to miss it.
fun fact for Chris' concert in Argentina JIN had little time left to enter the sm so he traveled 14 hours to sing just one song that was rehearsed only once the day before and the song was released to the public the morning of the concert , and Army found out that JIN would sing on that day shortly before, that is, the concert is mostly full of Coldplayers (that is, a great set up for the disaster but nothing is too big for JIN and it was beautiful). Jin and Chris Martin of Coldplay wrote this song and Jin sung it live with Chris and Coldplay at a Coldplay concert. So you'll get the live performance of it with the funny mistake where Jin sung the wrong lyric and giggled. There's a lovely speech by Chris as his introduction for Jin to join them on stage.

Yes his type of songs might reflect more of songs sang by bands…you could tell his musical influences are from there just like Coldplay, Goo Goo Dolls… for me the songs that has that vibe/melody is this song and epiphany. So this song was co-written by Coldplay. I do hope when he does his solo work that he will go to this route…he can hold a note well that band lead vocalists have.

Jin has another song about the relationship between BTS and ARMY which is called 'Moon' where he's saying the moon needs the earth that there would be no moon with the earth and the earth needs the Moon ( the moon often gets hit so the earth still gets hit sometimes but it would be far more often if the moon wasn't there) He's saying BTS would exist without ARMY and ARMY wouldn't exist without BTS.
He also has like all BTS members other solo's within BTS albums.
100% Epiphany by Jin, it’s definitely a ballad that helps you discover self love is a very meaningful song and it is also one of those that will become a lot of people’s anthem ,this song catches old rock and ballads, spirit. and shows a lot of feelings and he has a great voice. Jin is the Astronaunt who crashed to earth was out of place but found a friend in a little girl Amy and decided his home was earth in the end.
Amy represents ARMY and the song is saying he's going away for a while which of course he did 18months in the military and that he's returning. He's only just returned and the next day he did a fan concert and hugged a line 1,000 fans one at a time.

All the members of BTS are extremely hard working with a work ethic that seems superhuman. But Jin, I feel, had to work even beyond that to keep up.
He was recruited based on looks but he fought hard to show he is more than a beautiful face. And in the process he developled this hilarious persona as world wide handsome. And learned to love himself.
He's my bias for those reasons and many more.
That's the kind of magic Jin's voice holds. He can make you feel all the emotions when he sings. So pleasing to the ears AND HEART! I love him!

My favorites of the group are V and Jungkook. My fave solo song has been V’s song Fri(end)s. He’s a great actor too. Loved V’s acting in the IU music video Love Wins All. She has a beautiful voice if you haven’t heard her before
