Just recently I bought a 13' P3 V70 FL D4 coming from a 01' P2 V70 D5. Looking at your amazing videos it seems the P3 suspension is quite a bit more DIY-able, no need for so many special tools and presses. Except the wheel bearings. Thanks for the content!
This is fantastic!! I love the chapter breakdown in the description, but a list of the torque specs for reference in the description would be a game changer!!
Would it be possible to show a quick tutorial on how to safely (and correctly) lift an P3 xc60 and jack stand placement? Also please do many more xc60 P3 videos. Finding DIY tutorials on the xc60 has been very difficult. Thanks in advance.
I'm having a rough time with this currently on a 2010 Volvo S80. Replacing lower control arm, steering knuckle, strut & sway bar link after an accident.. Thanks for the video. I'm going to loosen things back up and try again in a different order.
My problem is I just went ahead and did it without reading or looking at a video and so I pulled both left and right axles out of the transaxle on the inside. So what I’m going to do is unbolt everything and just slide the axles in and then proceed as normally. It should be fine now, but it did freak me out a little bit.
Followed this video and it was fantastic and straight forward. Just a quick question what is the torque setting for the 3 bolts holding the ball joint into the arm? My rubber has been damaged by something so need to replace just the ball joint part😊
My 2018 XC60 is currently at the dealer and they’re saying this needs to be replaced. It has 70k miles and they quoted me at $2100. I feel like Im getting taken for a ride. I’m declining the service and taking it to my local Guy.
Let me tell you something, this job sucks 100%, every part that goes into the spindle will fight you. A pressing in bearings sucks too. Getting that lower ball joint out and then seated back in again is ridiculous. The angle of the spindle works against you trying to get that lower ball joint back in. I’m betting a whole bunch of time was edited out here

for a front control arm i can replace the bushes or the the hole assembly?
Typically, the arm is the easier solution and usually the more cost-effective. Some models offer both options.

How much was the local guy? I'm at 70K as well but with a 2016
I just did mine, 2017, Australia. Parts 600 aud. Alignment 100. Plus labour

it's the absolute worst of any Volvo that I've worked on. You are 100% correct. I'm stuck on getting the ball joint free from the spindle.
