Everyone is entitled to get down - COVID-19 is a mean bastard that doesn't care whom it harms or kills. The world has turned upside down, and many of us feel like the Jin of "Abyss." ."Though I'm unhappy that Jin is depressed, I'm equally thankful that, in his typical way, Jin thought of US first. His beautiful song, powerful voice (!), and incredible lyrics aren't complaining about his problems. "Abyss" is his gift to us, meant to support us and let us know that he indeed "knows how it feels" to be depressed. I am not overly concerned for two reasons: 1) I'm sure that he is consulting a professional therapist for his depression, and 2) that much of his pain has been diminished by writing such a beautiful anthem to pain and promise.
