I work in as an engineer. Married with several kids. I was told by an investment group for the state that if I passed CFA level 1, I would be a shoe in for the job. I spent 10 months and 700 hours studying because I don’t have an education or background in finance. I passed above 90th percentile and was then told some of the team had hesitations that I might not have what it takes to get into the field and do CFA 2, so I’ve been promised a position if I pass level 2. I used all my vacation and good will at my current job to push myself over the finish line to pass the first test. I was pretty crushed by the news. I will not be able to pursue a career in finance. There’s just no way I can dedicate the time and energy it would take to conquer level 2.
Sorry to hear. Honestly, you don't need to spend 700 hours studying for these exams despite whatever your prior experience was. If you still have interest to get your charter and spend less time studying, feel free to reach out to Nathan and Chalk & Board to discuss your situation. This is what we are experts doing and our study materials are designed to help you pass as efficiently as possible.
@@RonnieSportz overcoming setbacks is an unfortunate but necessary process for strong people. You will be stronger from this regardless. We can help reduce your study hours probably, if you decide to get back on the horse. Hope you do.
