In 1978 I lived at Kibbutz Ginosar. In the afternoon after work we would swim in the lake over where the boat was buried underneath the mud and sand. We never would have imagined we were swimming over the Jesus Boat.
One of the most memorable events of my life was to paddle in the Sea of Galilee . I can’t explain the closeness I felt with Jesus ,as I closed my eyes & prayed . 🙏💕. Thank you God for this Amazing experience n🌸🦋

I guess thats the difference between a religious person and a non religious person. The armed guards at every corner and constant threat of terrorism was enough to partially ruin my time there. Although there is something amazing about walking the same roads as and seeing the same sights as people thousands of years ago. I didnt need a god to feel connected to those people.

To some it is there outward symbol to show they are believer such as wearing a wedding ring is a symbol one is married. To some it may be their daily reminder of Jesus's sacrifice.

The world is facing great threats and people need to think clearly and pull together. Religion abuses people from childhood onward by teaching "faith" belief without evidence or mostly belief against the evidence.
When you say "we" you have no idea who you are talking about. There is no Christian we there are more that 20,000 different denominations with countless different ideas what Christian means, no deity has ever bothered to explain which is right and more appear all the time. So tens of thousand of different versions that all have to be followed because they are in your old book, a book proved wrong from its first page.
Major issues in the world and Christian want to run about shouting "but my old book says". Religion makes the job of com men easy stick the word "Jesus" in there and you can claim anything and the suckers will take it. The remains of a boat are found, now look down these comments they put Jesus in the title now people claim the boat proves a deity. All it does show is people used boats on this water.
You yourself show this in your comment no evidence just the "pray for you" this is do nothing of any value. We need rational thoughts and answers to problems religion works against that.

Jesus was the ultimate atonement. The people did not listen to God so He decided on a better way thru Jesus, who is himself in the flesh. I had a calming sense of love and piece while watching this and yes I AM a Christian !!!
i visited the area and he preached all along the lake and towns on it. but he practiced Carpentry in the most nothern part. alot of the famalies that live there were handed down local stories of wood works.

but in isreal they are use to acient history. they can tell you things in the same breath like we talk about baseball. there are 1000s and 1000s of layers of stories that you will not hear less you visit all these stories in layer format. cuase what they would do is build on layers. so people from 8000 b.c. would build over cities from 8500 b.c. etc.
so there layers everywhere you go in isreal.
we only have 4 layers , indians revolution, civil war and , 500 years.
they have easily anywhere you go 2000 some spots easily go back 8000 years. and some 50,000 way out in the desert. so there spots which have 100 layers of history.

Israel is the best country I ever visited. It is safer than London and Paris. Just be ready to answer any questions they will ask you at the airport. It looks like they know everything about you before you even landed there. Love the security there.
My wife and I saw the boat at the museum in April, 2018. We sailed with our group from the hotel on the Sea of Galilee to the dock where the museum was located. Watching this video brought back memories of the great time we had where Jesus walked and taught. It was a life changing experience.

@@hzoonka4203 Our church used Morning Star Tours, based in TX, which they had used on previous trips. We paid them and everything was included: air fair, food, accommodations, tips, entrance fees, etc. We were on our own for lunch, but the meals were so lavish you could skip lunch if you so desired. One lunch was included when we were in Galilee when we had a " Saint Peter's" fish lunch. The real shock was $5.00 US for a cold drink and 18% sales tax. However, if you spent over $200.00 US in one shop you got the tax back at the airport before your return flight. We knew it was a costly venture, but as I mentioned, to me it was worth it. Not knowing what we paid for individual items we had nothing to compare it with except the out of pocket drinks and food. I'm just thankful I went.

@@Sabina_B17 Thank you. As our pastor read Scripture at the various sites we visited it gave you a new appreciation and understanding. You were reliving what Jesus taught at that time and place. Go with a good group. This was my wife's second trip and the leaders made all the difference; it may cost more, but worth it in her opinion. The first trip was smaller and no real structure. Find out what you will be seeing before you make the trip. Her trip mainly visited churches and not a variety of other historical Biblical sites.

I was in Galilee last year, on the boat Circling around the lake of Galilee. that was the best moment of my life. Unfortunately, I didn't go to the museum where the legendary boat was displayed. One day, I Will be back with my wife and kids 🙂

the family of the family of the boat. God was a carpenter for many people along the northern
shore of the lake.
when i was there i visited the town where he practiced wood work. and in that town there are descendants of that period who were his neighbors.

Very interesting find to have a boat from that period and have it still movable after being in the water so long. Makes me wonder what other finds are still there waiting to be discovered. The area looks quite beautiful.

I have seen the Sea of Galilee boat during my stays at Kibbutz Ginosar the site where the boat is now on display in the Kibbutz museum. The discovery, recovery and restoration of the boat is the subject of the book, "The Sea of Galilee Boat" by Shelley Wachsmann, the archaeologist who was in charge of this project. I highly recommend the book. I met Dr. Wachsmann when he gave a lecture on the "boat" to attendees of an archaeology forum in San Diego in 1997.

I cannot explain why when I watched this video tears fell down my cheeks. It is a very special find. It is not contaminated by the politics rife in Jerusalem. It is an artifact that needs no explanation or argument. Whether or not it belonged to the Disciples of Jesus (peace be upon him) or whether or not this prophet fell asleep in its bow, it reflects the simple, sweet teachings of Jesus (peace be upon him) which reflected his love for all the people of the world. A simple craft used by ordinary people to provide the sustenance needed for their family. It provides another uncontaminated story about the life of the fishermen at that time.
It also reflects the true meanings of the greetings Shalom/Salaam/Almighty God's Peace be upon you all.

An interesting bit of history Jesus is not shown doing many nice things in the Bible so sometime after 400CE the story of the women taken in adultery was added. Many Bibles still (bracket) this story like they bracket the last verses of the Mark Gospel as again this is a known edit so no the Jesus story has not always been the same.

It may not even have been Simon Peter’s boat because there were other fishermen at the time, but nevertheless it was a blessed find and may God be with them.
