By far one of my favorites from Havoc. This album takes a few listens to get used to, but I really dig their slight change in style. 7 years later and still waiting for the next one :C
Awesome track ! Another surprise, as for Havoc, it's great to change your style I'm proud of you ! Don't listen to those stupid fans who hate changes. Anyway I can't wait to listen to the new album !!!
+Prog Pendragon bitch please imperial destruction is my fav bonus track from 1st chapter, Isolate is my fav album, Nine is weak if you compare to the precedent albums (except architect of fortune, namaste and used). + CM is seeking for their style, i reproach some fans crying bc they don't sound as "before" or like "DT".
+Asuchii Agreed. It's sad (and a bit ironic)| that most progressive metal fans are in fact the least progressive when it comes to their opinions on music. As long as the bands I love stay grounded in their metal roots, I'm open to new sounds and directions. I'm loving what we've heard from this album so far because it's a breath of fresh air in the genre. The fact that CM is still keeping their musical quality whilst experimenting with a new style shows how truly versatile they are as a band! I'm definitely looking forward to the full release.
Reportedly the drummer was getting dissatisfied with playing complex parts all the time. Perhaps he feels that to be considered prog nowadays you "have" to play difficult parts, and wants to protest that assumption. Then again, not all the drum parts on this record are easy either. They're just very tasteful and appropriate to the feel of the songs. On Loved Ones in particular, he really tones it down because the arrangement is sweeping and wide open, not befitting of complex and cluttered playing, excepting the unison solo in the middle where the band does cut loose a bit.
CM ftw!!!! :D people cool down a little, this band always give something different and fresh,if you want them play "heavier" or however u want to call it,they will seem that they copy other band's styles. c'mon, this song is awesome!!!!!
Ok ok...not as expected...the solo is nice though...but seriously im a bit dissapointed so far...i love The Weight though but not these two tracks...well hopin the remainders will b melodic stuff...ive put u guys ahead of DT and 2nd to Pagan's Mind as my three best prog metal bands...but i still love u guys...hope Havoc n the remainder of the songs wud be awesum...cheers
I love CM.. but this feels "phoned in" - guitars , bass is very monotonous. Ironic since wildly creative guitar and bass phrasings is just what CM is famous for. This whole song could have been launched way higher with a little bit more work. To me it's boring. Also, I've listened to 4 other songs, and none of them struck me as "inventive". I care less about the "genre" than about creativity with instruments and it seems that they simply did not have the time (or didn't want to) get overly creative here.
if those 3 bands are as far as your musical tastes spread, I feel really bad for you, man (not an insult). There are a hundred different prog bands that are releasing simply beautiful music! I hope you discover them. Redemption is extremely mediocre, if not worse. Symphony X stopped being great after The Odyssey (with V being their best). their new stuff is NOT up to par. As far as Havoc, The Weight is the only track I feel is great. I'm a little concerned. Nine was fantastic.
Awww yisss I love this "heavy bass" composition, you guys are awesome. Michael's voice is on point as always.

Excellent song. Full on prog metal with that CM feel. Best of the bunch so far.
+Golem29 yes i agreed!
So far all of Havoc is pure flames.
I'm getting a noticeable "awake" feel from this.
+Golem29 The guitar delay ala Lifting shadows off a dream?
CM has a solid DT influence. LOVE IT!
Only dream theater never mixed johns bass like this!
The bass intro reminded me of Meshuggah - Soul Burn. Amazing track!
An awesome track... Great feel on that song! Very well done guys!
I like it. Good song for the new album.
That solo is nuts!
Awesome track ! Another surprise, as for Havoc, it's great to change your style I'm proud of you ! Don't listen to those stupid fans who hate changes. Anyway I can't wait to listen to the new album !!!
+Asuchii I assumed you never listen to first chapter or Isolate.
+Prog Pendragon bitch please imperial destruction is my fav bonus track from 1st chapter, Isolate is my fav album, Nine is weak if you compare to the precedent albums (except architect of fortune, namaste and used). + CM is seeking for their style, i reproach some fans crying bc they don't sound as "before" or like "DT".
wait, I don't say they sound like DT :o
+Prog Pendragon yeah yeah i meant those other fans who spitted on Havoc they were so annoyiiiing

Back to the 90´s
Thanks for this great solo Mats!!!
awesome guys !!
+TERAMAZE T.V thay are awesome ... you are PERFECT
Great song!
This song and "Flames" are quite prog to me. Also, you need to listen the album a few times to appreciate it. I consider this "Nine" v2
Different. but loved the feel of the track! great bass
!
This will be a custom made album for me by the highly evolved ascended masters. Thank you ayy lmao
Not their greatest work, but it might grow on me. I am still open to listen to the whole album in its entirety. Only time will tell.
Неплохо.Жду новый альбом.
SENSACIONAL !!!!
I love this topic
Exceptional, as always. \m/
just heard the leak.. shit is pure flames!
Grymt!
3:38
this is ridiculous !!!
+ indeed pages sound a bit like 1st chapter, and if you read their recent interviews, the drummer is the one who wanted changement
My english is not good... Could you explain me the thing about the drummer?
Is Truls Haugen in charge of the artistic directioning, is it?

It's my favourite on the new album.
Even though, I liked them all.
Feels a bit like Karnivool
I also thought that.
Very similar to Lifting Shadows Of A Dream...

I would recommend stop releasing songs from the album! I was gonna buy it..but after listening the new stuff, forget it!
It seems they need more NU fans, more teenagers screaming means more money for them.... pop prog.... If I want pop prog I will listen Voyager....
#ChupaSamii
At least it's not a terrible as "Havoc."

1 out if 3.after the good weight song, 1 boring and one bad. It seems like only symphony x and avantasia nailed it. Dont know about redemption yet..,

Wtf is this? CM over!!!!
They're still here dipshit.
+Alan Lightner yes...like many other bands ;-)
Yet another boring track!
Really not impressed by that song...
