@@Hobbnob_FirstPersonAirsoft I’ve ran mine for 3 years now with few complaints and have tried to find and chat to anyone that does have them. I might have a list written out but it ain’t that long, can’t say the same for the rest of GHK’s line up though 🤣
i bought the vfc urgi 14,5 and made it to a block 2 with a madbull and if u get madbull u will need to put a spacer in the barrel nut cuz it wont contact the barrel. and if u want it 100% correct u will need to buy a new barrel cuz the gas block wont be in the correct place i did not do this cuz was just enough space with a bit smaller gas block to make it fit. and the rail will be funky to attached cuz its not made to be straight and u will get spacer that are made of plastic and can easily get squished if u use a screw driver that u can get a good grip on
New air softer here. Excuse me for being a bit confused. So do you recommend getting the TM MK18 or the URGI? This will be my first GBBR and I love the look of a MK18
@@xpIotoc no problem, if you're looking to start your journey with a Tokyo mario gas rifle to build into a MK18 would be the CQB-R, not the MK18 from the factory and definitely not the URGI
@@Hobbnob_FirstPersonAirsoft Okay sounds good, also would you say this is the best GBBR on the market at the moment or is there a better option. I want something very reliable for outdoors and indoors if you can please recommend me any parts/ other GBBRs that would be amazing!
@@xpIotoc So there's a couple of points to consider there: 1: There is no 'best'. The MWS for example doesn't use a metal composition in its receivers that is as strong as its real counterpart. The vipertech does, but it has downsides of its own. Even if we were talking about something with a plastic receiver like a G36, the tactile feel is worse than on a aluminium or steel gun so you have a downside there before you've even begun. 2: I uploaded a dedicated MK18 video a couple days ago, I'd recommend checking it out, but it's worth noting that, because I've had no reason to move away from the TM platform (I've tried VFC MK18 but I wasn't a fan of the externals, never tried it for performance). For the TM though, it should give you a pretty good base of knowledge of how you can go from 0 to a very capable MK18, with a few options for different budgets in there as well.
do you know which replica matches the real FSP rail FDE color the closest? i have the EMG and i tried the aliexpress AEG store one. The emg one is too bronze and the ali one was basically black. Basically a color in between both of the EMG and ali express one would have been perfect.
Unfortunately I believe you've got the 2 best reproduction options in front of you already. As far as I'm aware EMG's rails is the same as Madbull's, and all ali clones are going to be basically the same in terms of colour. I've tried the VFC as well and the colour there is the same as the ali specials. For what it's worth, historically these rails used to be darker/more muted in their early days as well, which I imagine is why the aliexpress clones went that route. For the more modern look there is potentially the option of ripping one off of a GHK (but I can't say for certain that their colour is better, it just looks better in the photos I've seen) or finding a madbull with the right colouring. Different years of madbull have very different colour, so get photos beforehand.
Even with segments the URGI is actually still noticeably lighter, but the cheaper options like magpul have the issue of the screws bring able to rotate into being completely unlocked very easily, and they're just generally more hassle than picatinny. There are QD mlok solutions around which look very promising, but at the moment your choices are either very expensive or suspiciously cheap. Once this method has developed further in a few years though, I think it's entirely feasible for mlok to be an all round better solution than picatinny
Sick video dude, was wondering if you had more information on the externals for your Block II build. I was looking into buying a TM Sopmod and replacing the KAC rail with a Madbull RIS II rail. Wondering what you went with?.
@@Hobbnob_FirstPersonAirsoft Main questions are about the gas block and barrel mainly. The madbull RIS 2 doesnt have a hole for the gas block, so using a low profile gas block isnt an option without power tools. Is it fine to have no gas block or would it compromise structural integrity. Also just wanted a bit more clarification on the barrel nut washer brand and whether any other parts or tools are needed when removing the FSP to install a RIS 2 as I initially just intended to get a TM Sopmod and a Madbull RIS 2.
@@ItsKinetic That sounds really weird if the madbull ris is actually machined like that but no, a gas block is purely cosmetic. The RIS should come with a barrel nut that matches it, the only thing is that it'll need an adapter for the MWS, any brand other than PTS is fine.
so your argument is essentially that its more expensive to take advantage of an objectively better system (Mlok) because its harder to manufacture appropriate parts so therefore its worse? lol, delete this.
That is essentially what I'm saying yes, what makes you say mlok is objectively better? My biggest gripe is that any loss of tension in an attachment's fastening screws leads the fixture to detach completely when it rotates, rather than coming loose over time like a pic screw. I'm curious about what can be done with the qd solutions that are coming out for mlok, but at the moment I still wouldn't put mlok over picatinny outright, despite its obvious advantages
@@Hobbnob_FirstPersonAirsoftwell you know loctite exist don’t you? 😅 besides that, this is Airsoft, who cares if some light gets loose over time by the almighty recoil of the tm. The mws will destroy itself before that happens
I like the lightweight feature of the URGI.

The vfc is the best, but normally you can not buy it individually, it comes with the vfc fsp ris aeg. In Japan you may find one individually.

How do you get the pov od aiming down sights? Thats a nice pov
Did you use a genuine tango down fore grip. Or a copy. I want one but not worth the price.
URGI looks cool but if I’ve gotta attach rail segments to put on additional accessories, I might as well just deal with the added weight of a Block 2

Just buy direct Mlok mounted accessories
Y’all crack me up with the added weight comments the urgi and not that much lighter then the Block 2
Love it
Where did you get the fsp dd rail?
I "feel" the MK18 sound different in the final records. It's because of the sound camera or it's modified? Great vid!!!
Yeah nowadays I have a small wireless mic that sits at the end of the handguard, but this video uses older footage as well, thanks!
