There are so many Chinese people in Bangladesh, my great grandfather once encountered some in his village at before dawn it was a Muslim village so people started awakening to pray Fajr, and they thought the Chinese party was a band of robbers, but they were actually catching large bullfrogs, then the villagers beat them with sticks assuming they were criminals, but after realising their mistake they fed and gave tea to the group and was hospitable to them for a while.
I'm from India ..I don't know why it is spiritually liked with me ..like when ever i hear this kind of legendary songs ,somewhere in my chest(soul) got shaken .

My wife is from Qinghai and we have friends in Yangshuo who are light fishermen, she says you are being petty as all the music is from China no matter the region.Just enjoy, we do not have anything like it in the west.
It has that Kung fu hustle tune to it & the last samurai mixed mandarin or some but love the old oriental traditional style chinese music. Nostalgic tune after tune all put together for years
to si, yes budhism is popular in china, but the faith a bit different budha is like a god in chinese type budhism. in acountry with much atheism i doubt more than 40 million are budhist, mayana.
@mevansmusic There are many types of Chinese music, you can try to look for particular instruments. Like, if you type in "Erhu and pipa music" you get music of this combination. Try it. I had the same problem as you first, and then I went looking for the particular instruments that I wanted to hear, and then I really got into the Chinese music world.
