I can't believe some have referred to it as "a lullaby". I cannot believe some have referred to it as "a lullaby". How could they have done this? How could they have referred it to?
A single long game may not be as easy to watch as something more bite-sized, like a blitz arena, but it is so very worth it. Really love hearing the detailed thought process behind a game like this.
I'd love to see some more classical games in your videos. This was really exciting! (It's also ok to put more than one in your videos to achieve your typical 2-3 hours ;))
9:23 after Rc1 Nxa2 isn't there Nxd5, if Qxd2 there's Nxe7#, and if Nxd5 there's Qxa5 Nxc1 Kxc1 Nxf4 exf4 Bxd4 with you up a queen and knight for a rook, bishop and a pawn, which is +3 points of material?
@@MyBiPolarBearMaxOk interesting, the engine also disagrees with me, but due to the line Nh5 with the bishop being trapped, and if Bh2 then after cxd5 exd5 the queen is undefended, while d5 is defended by black's queen, thus Nxa2 works. In a vacuum, cxd5 exd5 Nxa2 does not work since the bishop on f4 is defending the queen, and even if you play Nh5 now, the e3 square is vacant for the bishop. Without Nh5, it would have been +1. Maybe Eric saw that :) Here is the fen: r4rk1/pp2ppb1/5np1/q1pp1b2/1n1P1B2/2N1PP2/PPPQ2P1/1K1R1BNR w - - 1 12
Thanks as always, just got back from kickboxing sparring and perfect relaxation slow game with fun tactics to calculate, I saw queen e1 Bishop takes Knight rook h7 in the game so v happy about that. I've got a fight coming up and there's funny parallels in preparation there too for chess tournaments
He did engine analysis after the game and stockfish doesn't find any mistake with white's 23rd move, so there couldn't have been a forced mate. It looks to me like black can meet 23.Bh6 with the simple 23...Kxh7 and i don't see the follow up for white. For example 24.Bxg7+ Kxg7 25.Qh6+ Kf7 and the black king can run to e8 or e6.
Yes, people love to see these longer games. Can't believe though some have referred to it as "a lullaby" - this game was nail biting stuff to the end!
Seriously, the lines in this game were so ridiculously sharp
When your watching at 2 AM with how relaxing Eric is to listen to it sure is like a lullaby 😂

The classical format is fine with me. More of everything. More Rosen too!!

Thats really interesting and i want to see it in an engine
Seeing that mate threat counterplay is a great idea.

Yes people on youtube like an hour of fine quality chess.
Thoroughly enjoyed this game! The fastest time control I like watching is 3 min, anything faster is too fast for me.
When Eric Rosen is learning spanish: "IM Josen"

Bring back the rook jump scare
At 11:33, why not pawn to a3?
Instructive game
It's an honour to be this early :)
29:40 i take free pion at d4
At 27:08 you could have forced a mate with bishop to H6.
