I experimented with growing a proper beard for the year of 2014. Not some lame quarter inch stubble. A proper, manly beard. It was a true test of endurance. Now 2014 is over.
Some weird folks on here seem to be equating a beard to a limb. Hey guess what guys? They grow back. Sometimes it's just so damn refreshing to shave and start again.

+Kill it with ILLUMINATI It was more along the lines of me growing a beard for a year since I had never grown a proper beard before. My wife actually had trouble looking at me after it was removed. Funny enough, she didn't much care for it when I first started growing it, but grew to like it. I think it is like a case of stockholm syndrome.

Must be odd looking in the mirror after having the beard for a year. When I trimmed mine off a couple of years ago, my head looked small to me.
