Had both, currently using the delks. Absolutely loved my rx until one wouldn't switch off, carried on flashing multiple colours on the led and was completely unusable. Sent back to shop of original purchase, they sent to Fox. After numerous emails to fox and umpteen calls to shop where I bought, I received a completely brand new replacement, 4 months later!!! 😳 Nobody seemed interested so switched due to delkims apparent fantastic customer services. Pandemic/stock levels didn't help but honestly didn't feel my custom was appreciated as it was me doing all the chasing!! Just my experience 👍
Not much being said about the bite detection. I think Delkim's vibration sensor covers a wider range of angling situations better than roller wheel alarms (e.g. snag fishing, predator fishing). I agree for standard carp fishing that both are very good, but I was finally convinced to swap from my old Fox alarms (admittedly not top of the range ones) to Delkims about 5 years ago after watching a bite on the rod tip that did not take line and did not activate the alarm. No regrets, my Delkims are brilliant (previous model TXi, not the new TXi-D).
Only bought delkims once new from a shop....the latest txid.....two of them the leds didn't even work! despite labels saying qc dept checked....yeah right. Waited a week for 2 new ones and got a free mug.....went back to fox and won't change in future!
My RX have not been reliable. They don’t not like heavy rain. One completely packed up and FOX customer service did not want to know because I did not buy them from an “authorised retailer”. Mine are 14 months old. The on/off toggle is very fragile. The 3 dials on the side have a very vague feel when adjusting. Cost me £55 to have it repaired!
Let's not forget these alarms will last years but if something breaks only Delkim offer a full UK repair service.. fox however you can't even contact there customer services and don't offer a repair..
You can contact costumer service of fox. I have a mx alarm wich suddenly stoped working after 30min of rain. They are almost 2 years old. I can bring them to a retail store for checking on them or have them repared. Only repare cost me something becaus i dont have a receipt from buying it and thats why it doesn't fall in the granteeperiod
That was exactly why I went for delks. I had ntxrs before and fox offered zero support for them whilst Delkim still support alarms they released 20 years ago. A worthy consideration when spending so much on alarms
How is this with false beeps? Looking at the fox rx+ it needs to move the line the same way before 2 sec passes, any other way or no movement will reset the alarm. Which works great when fishing on a boat for example.
Can't comment for the new delks but I moved from having delk txi for 10yrs to the fox rx and I personally prefer the rx's. Only down side is the receiver is a brick! . Again going back to delkim there customer service was really good and used them a couple of times. Having said that I would not bad mouth delkim txi either they all great alarms
The drop back feature of the Fox is a amazing one, if you look out for it you can tell if the leads been moved, I.e you’ve been done, that’s the sole reason I went for the fox over the delks, still have my TXI plus alarms
Managed to watch for nearly 1 minute without getting annoyed with that music.. Sorry. I've used both & much prefer the fox, the sound out of the fox is just tremendous too, just sounds quality.
The best buzzer I’ve ever bought? The cheap fox ones ( I think they were £24 ) the ones with just on/off button and volume control. Bought them in 2007 I think and to this day never ever 1 problem. I guess it’s because they are so simple. No unnecessary complex electronics. Can anybody say the same about any other buzzers?
My delks have been faultless for decades now. They've been dropped, frozen, spent countless hours in pouring rain and always worked like new. Why change when you have 200% confidence in your kit? Also, (haters gonna hate) but the vibration sensing is still by far the superior product.
i have the delkim s not good 1 alarm lost 1 light,1 alarm dosen't beep sometimes if i play whith the volume, reciver new battery lasted forever now 48 h and the battery drains even if you switched of
Just bought a set of fox RXs and selling my very unreliable delkims. Bought 4 txid set and sent two back within 6 months , they were replaced but one more stopped sounding , replaced again . Just thrown one in the bin for constant intermittent alarm . Not every buying again.
Bought TXiD kept for 6 months then sold them. Shockingly complicated, two buttons just to turn it on! Stuck with one colour, complicated sensitivity settings, complicated settings to change the tones. Would have swapped them for the old Delkims any day, they’re a backwards step from the last version.
You can set them up at home from a you tube video to your liking brightness tone, then on the bank you only need two things response on the dial and beep speed for the water/weather condition's this one button, you can just leave them in default out off the box and still catch big Carp 🎣
Ive owned both and the rx's are the biggest piece of garbage ive owned in my life. Customer service is terrible as well. Nobody at Fox seems to care. Had problems with delkim as well and they are very fast and helpful. Very happy with my current delkims.
I still use the original delkims and they have never let me down I do a lot of fishing and consider them to of been a good investment. Can't see fox ever topping a delkim.
well the rx have some problem, but i love the optik and the sound. Delkims are fare better by far. i just hate the delkim sound and the missing drop back ....i have delkims for 15 years and never had some issues. i have also micron rx digital for 15 years and never had problems. but with the rx+ i had alot of problems in 6 years of using. i still love the rx+ cause of the sound ;)
Not an accurate review for fox!! The receiver can take 8 alarms and also no mention of the much important drop back feature for the fox alarms and receiver, also so much better to be able to change led colours, the bivyy light feature is also way better, the fox alarms are better in the rain too, there just better all around, iv had 4 different delkim receivers and each 1 at some point never registered a bite when i have been sat in the same peg as the alarms either drop back or reels spinning with nothing from the receiver with good batteries in them too, fox rx+ all the way for me. Even the older ntxr’s are spot on. I have even bought my son some mini micron x’s and they are yet to miss a beat, i’d even have them over the delks!..
For me it’s fox and all ways will be. Delkim alarm to me look to boxy old fashioned but I will say the anti theft alarm is a lot better on the delkim. On any alarm why we need two or four or 800 meter range I don’t no I never away more than a swim or two away from my rods mostly one swim.
No way. This new Delkim is lots better quality as Fox. The old Microns from late 90s was really good quality, but the new ones are garbage. The best quality is Carp Sounder, Atts, Delkim.
A Delim run DELkimimimimimimimimim no full tone, Fox didedididiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii a little drop back from the start and a full tone run
Hate the look of fox alarms, so cheap looking, looks like a fucking ron thompson alarm ffs. Love the minimalistic look of delkim. Also the sound and sens of delkim, there is nothing better than delkim warbling! Love my delkims, if i would even consider other alarms it would be nash siren
FOX is for me.iv never liked DELKIM Alarms they just look old fashioned box looking and they have since the 1990 I thought by now they would remodel them saying that FOX is for me and I won't change
backround music is so irritating
Absolutely annoying

Prologic Fulkrum for me as 3 rod set up 200 quid and has all the features of both them alarms and some more as well.

Bought a set of Delkims when they first came out…still using them….nuff said really. That’s 30 years of service.

Delkim all day long, best customer service and made in the uk
Made in UK vs Made in China, and the China Buzzers costs lots more.
How is this with false beeps? Looking at the fox rx+ it needs to move the line the same way before 2 sec passes, any other way or no movement will reset the alarm. Which works great when fishing on a boat for example.
Also use the Delkims, absolutely love them👍
I use delkims but have always used fox before that, to be honest there not a lot in it but I think the fox look better. Both so far never let me down.
Fix have the ugliest bite alarms on the market imo

Fox rx plus any day off the week..ive had these for qielt a while and they are jyst brilliant without been complicated
Why the music on the backround.
Why why why.
Verry verry irritating too listen too this video.😪🤔🤔

The music is too loud too your voice haha.
Got both and the fox is best out the 2 but prefer the delkim looks by far, I have had missed drop backs and missed runs with the delkims

You stood on the fence, delkim all the way for me.

Just got rid of rx+ for delks as I’m sick of the going wrong
I have MXs and TXi-Ds, much prefer the Fox. Trying to sell my TXi-Ds now to buy RX+s
That fox receiver looks like a kids toy from the middle of lidl
Everyone talking ng about customer service....which alarm is best?? Not which cust service! Ha
Id say as good as each other....personally fox
I believe you can set at least 8 alarms to the fox receiver
Ive owned both and the rx's are the biggest piece of garbage ive owned in my life. Customer service is terrible as well. Nobody at Fox seems to care. Had problems with delkim as well and they are very fast and helpful. Very happy with my current delkims.
