Ngl if they made these Toyota sports cars with Lexus quality back then they would’ve been utterly groundbreaking. Better than anything to this day. Tow of my cars is a 97 and a 01 Lexus ES300, sold for literally right around the exact same as a Toyota Supra of the same year brand new… roughly $35k. That car has ageless luxury features that don’t break or go bad, features like heated seats most didn’t have for another decade, electronically controlled adjustable suspension with 4 modes from sport to comfort, a 1MZ V6 that’s bulletproof and shoots flames straight piped, and overall build quality was insanely better than even the best Toyotas of the time. It’s because they were built in different factories and so were the parts.
