In a slight defense of Geats around the five minute mark, I think it was cool that it's not until the last arc that everyone gathers behind Ace, and also that his way changed drastically right before. He wasn't concerned about world peace until after he met his mother. He actively encourages Neon to pursue her desire, even though it would naturally have to come at his expense since they compete in the DGP. I'll admit that I'm not really sure how much of Michinaga's motives he understood, but when he comes back from erasure, he joins Michinaga against the DGP. Geats is initially a story about desires clashing, and it delivers- Ace, Keiwa, Neon, and Michinaga are all in direct conflict (more or less) for a vast majority of the series, and when they all gather together behind Ace, it's after Ace has changed his motive. Ace has been thoroughly selfish the entire series in a single-minded pursuit of his mother, but after losing her, he starts fighting for the world that Keiwa wanted- someone that he had been ridiculing on and off for the whole series. I really like the way that they contrast Ace's slowly coming to understand the consequences of the wishes with Keiwa's descent into despair, and how after Ace changes his point of view, he calls Keiwa back to that selfless desire. Ultimately, I think everyone is in direct conflict until the very end, at which point all of their personal interests overlap. It is, perhaps, a little frustrating that it's Ace as the figurehead of this new world when Keiwa is the one who's been fighting for it the whole time, but I don't think it's fair to call Geats 'my way or the highway.' Regardless, great video as always. Thanks a bunch!

We can't get Kamen Rider Yume or Kamen Rider NP2N! If anyone asks me what the H-E double hockey sticks does that mean, I'd say that it's pronounced "Neptune♆". We can't have a Super Hero Time that consists of "#1 Sentai Gozyuger" and either a nonexistent water-based masked rider or a made-up masked rider based on everyone's dreams and/or nightmares!
The best way to ward off nightmares and face your fears is to dream up a masked rider. That's what Kamen Rider Yume will do. When darkness falls, he will come to save the day- er, night. Heisei brought forth Kiva, and he was a nocturnal toku character. Now it's Reiwa, so we MIGHT have another one. When everyone is in bed but they're having nightmares and are afraid of something, who better to protect both OUR world and the Land of Nod than Kamen Rider Yume. Now for the other theoretical masked rider, the watered one. Aqua would be a better name just in case nobody likes the name NP2N, even though it is pronounced "Neptune". He'd rise to the challenge of his rivals and archenemies somewhere under the sea. Maybe if you're lucky, there'd be a crossover where Kamen Riders Yume and NP2N will team up with each other. It would be an episode about fear of drowning, where these high-powered hypothetical heroes will teach individuals to learn how to swim and fulfill their deep-sea dreams; it's called aquaphobia.

It got to the point where In Gotchard where I was low key expecting Renge and Sabimaru to become riders. I mean, I get it, toy sales and all, but still, you don't need to rely on the "everyone's a rider" mindset for every show. So far Gavv's been pretty good with just 3 riders so far.(Or 4, again depending on if "Bitter Gavv" is a different rider, and not a new form.) I'd just be fine with our current trio, and maybe Lango or Father Stomach becoming like the obligatory final boss rider.(Knock on wood, because I'm 99% certain that the Professor is going to become a rider, and we're going to have a repeat of Juuga.) If they are going to do a random anniversary this year, please keep it self conained. Just because 2025 is the 20th anniversary of Hibiki, or the 10th anniversary of Ghost doesn't mean we need to shoehorn in a random Hibiki crossover into Gavv's narrative or a Ghost crossover into the next season. I mean, I give them credit for not shoehorning a Faiz crossover into Gotchard. While I don't share a similar sense of anniversary fatigue, I agree that not every anniversary needs a big blowout. Sometimes a simple social media post would suffice. We'd be just content with some CSM merch and maybe a reunion movie.(Knowing them we're probably gonna get Gozyuger x Gavv/whatever the next season is x Hibiki x Ghost x Gokaiger x Zyuohger Super Duper Ultra Mega Hero Taisen 3 and Knuckles HD final mix feat Super Mario because this year is also the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros.) Finally give us a Female lead rider. Before you get your torches and pitchforks ready, hear me out. I mean, I get it; Kamen rider is geared toward boys, and Japan is very staunched about traditional Gender roles.(Side note; does Japan have the "Pink Aisle" mindset when it comes to toys?) But that doesn't necessarly mean that boys can't fully relate to a female lead. I mean insofar the in the Reiwa era, they've been getting better when it came to handling female riders. Neon(Na-go)'s character arc was one of the best parts of Geats. Sure, Yua(Valkyrie) was sidelined during the Zaia/Workplace competition arc of zero-one, but we've still come a long ways from the days of Femme and the Female rider death curse.(Also, IDK how well Sabela or Jeanne and Agulera were handled because I haven't watched all of Saber or Revice yet.) I mean, I fully admit it's a pipe dream, but hey; if they're not gonna go all in with a female lead rider, maybe experement for a bit have it like with Double or Revice where the Power is shared between 2 people. Or maybe do a side season like Amazons or Black Sun with a Female lead.(Here's hoping I didn't end up accedently starting a shouting match, but just in case I have my flame shield on standby.)
Excited to see 10th anniversary Reiwa Decade. The first Decade show didn’t plan for all the 9 riders to be connected. Let’s see how they do Decade now with the 9 riders planned connection. Like how we have all the crossover movies: Saber x Revice, Revice x Geats, Geats x Gotchard
With Gozyuger starting in Febuary, would be interesting to see a 15-22 episode series of Rider and then have both shows start in late February/early March
What do think next kamen rider theme in the future after finish gavv series we never see more ancient kamen rider type series after scene saber it would be cool theme would be fossil theme or relics theme or Ancient mythical gods theme
Less wacky motifs, better belt designs that actually can come off like a real wearable belt, go back to a dual rider format, where the secondary rider debuts in ep 17. We haven't had one since Wizard in 2012. Also make amends with Joe Odagiri so he finally return as Kuuga. The fans miss him.
There's a scene in the Drive v Gaim movie where they're all standing on a cliff to transform and Shinnosuke doesn't have his belt. 😆 It was hysterical!

I'm really pumped for Gozyuger later this year!! On the Rider side, I can't wait to see Gavv's final form. I'm also considering getting into KR Outsiders this year.
