Oh my goodness me too!!! Please! Ever since having a baby myself I notice things like that about other parents and I'm thinking in my head "oh my goodness please do this or dont do this you are making me SO nervous!!😅"
You were not prepared for a natural delivery or had any help in coping with the the level of pain or how to cope through the different stages as they come on top of each other. Better prepared no matter how fast as my first was 1 hour and last was 20 min.! Hope you plan better next time as you found out things can move very fast.

I've had 4 natural births, 2 home water births and 2 hospital births. All 3 of my boys came FAST... I was in labor for 23.5 hrs with my daughter and it was N-O-T-H-I-N-G compared to my fast and furious births. They are, by far, MUCH worse. I was crying watching your video because I KNEW exactly what you were going through.
I cried during your labour video. It reminded me of how I felt giving birth to my two sons one with epidural and one without also. The one without epidural was crazy painful. I can relate to you in this in so many levels Sutton Great job. mama. Our bodies can do so much more than we can think of. Praise God your little one is here.
1. Omg!!!! 😱 NATE SUPPORT HIS HEAD/NECK!!! 2. Sutton you look stunning! 🙂 3. Nate your glowing lol 4. Nate need to learn how to hold babies, he’s on his 2nd one now 😔 5. I agree with Sutton, I like the 1st one with different shots of your life!!
I understand your pain. My second child was extremely fast and I ended up giving birth standing up with just my husband behind me. That fast birth was extremely painful. I suffered. And it seemed like no one really understood what I went through, they just seemed jealous that it was fast. However, with time I began to think of that birth differently. The truth is, my baby was extremely healthy and so was I. In the end, it was only pain. My third birth was not nearly so intense. It lasted 7 hours and was by and large enjoyable. The intense pain was short lived. Anyways, you never know what your next birth may be like.
Y’all are my new favorite UA-camrs! I had my second babe end of April and my oldest is 2.5 so I’ve been binging your videos while we hang out and recover ☺️ It’s so true how different the pain is when labor is quicker! We had two unmedicated home births, the first 15 hours and the pain was much better than the second which was 5 hours! Birth is amazing regardless of how it happens ☺️ Congratulations!!
It's horrific pain especially when it goes faster. I had tears running down my face and my whole body shaking in tremors. Thank God it's one day of your life. When you're ready to push the baby out it's like you don't really care if it's a female or male doctor, let's just get it out!!
I love the style of the intro now with multiple clips of life! Can't wait to see the new intro with the whole fam. Nate, we would have loved to hear more of your experience of being there and what was going through your mind during the birth. It seemed to be a very emotional experience for you. Sutton, you looked beautiful btw.
Thank you for this Q&A Nate and Sutton! I'm so proud of you that you did it, Sutton! I would encourage you, as a mom who has had three natural births, that if you want to have a third child I bet you can do a natural birth again. You can ask your doctor but if this labor went so quickly your next baby will probably come even more quickly. My first birth was a lot like this last one. I had to be induced with a pitocin drip and by the time I wanted an epidural it was just too late. I recommend that you take lots of natural birthing classes or read books but basically just prepare your mind and your emotions for coping with pain. When you go into labor knowing that you're going to be in pain and having a plan of how to cope with it, that helps your body as well as your mind. Being mentally prepared really helps to get through Labor. It may have been so hard for you because you dilated so fast and you had not felt that level of pain before, and it surprised you. It's never fun to be in pain, but it is so rewarding to know that God made your body to do this and you can do it!
I love the different fun clips in your intro!! Thanks for being so open about your experience too, Sutton. I've always been terrified of the thought of giving birth, but hearing about your different experiences and how the two of you work through everything together makes me feel much better and worry less! Love you guys
Aww I love how Nate just honors you as his wife! He lifts you up and encourages you. It’s so sweet to see him step into the Godliness God has set for Him as a dad and a husband!
Part of the reason the belly doesn’t go back is because the uterus is super swollen from the detachment of the placenta and also just shrinking back to normal size... so yes definitely give yourself time! A lot of people who haven’t had a baby don’t realize that happens! Totally normal!
I had my first son all natural and my second with epidural so I know both ways as well! And I am actually glad I got to experience both ways. But I agree you can enjoy it much more when you aren’t in terrible pain. He is amazing, fresh out of heaven! Congrats guys!
I had a very similar experience with our third. Your video took me back!! He was even born around the same time :). The recovery (after the fact) was so amazing compared to an epidural that when we got pregnant with our fourth I knew I wanted a natural birth. Ina May's guide to birth made it possible. I went from pain and panic to hardly a peep with all the tips and tricks in that book. Great job momma!
"I m camping on the hospital parking lot to be there o time" good one. I m glad you made it. So happy to see you smile after seeing the video of your birth. Was crying with you guys.
I think it's important to say that a natural birth not by choice is very different to someone who has planned and prepped for a natural birth. You have a pool, you're calm and relaxed etc. because you know what's coming. The fact that it was different to what you were desiring and wanting would have increased anxiety and a number of stress hormones etc etc etc. Not invalidating your experience but just want to point that out!
Go Sutton. Love the disclaimer .... AND for the new intro: I think I like the current format. Random shots of your life! Love to you guys... I am studying midwifery. Totally engrossed.
Labor really helps you face your fears.my first I was afraid of a long labor, and had one. My second I was afraid of a fast labor, and had one. My third was much calmer, although it was fast, we made it to the birth center with more than 2 minutes before baby was born. Well done warrior momma, fast labors are a wild ride, you just gotta hang on!
This is the first easy to listen to couple talking about natural and with an epidural, I recommend it. NIce couple. I noticed before the epidural, I could barely function to see, so I thought to myself, "he is a god" when that doctor gave that to me in my spine.
God bless you! I found your channel yesterday and it literally gives me hope for people who loves so much God! Thank you so much! (sorry for the faults, i'm french)
To whoever I’m speaking to...I was in the chains of lust, pornography, and masterbation and I confessed my sins to my pastor and just seeked help and God honored that. It’s been 3 months and 12 days which is the longest time I’ve been pure since I was introduced to it! Sin grows in the dark! Confess and repent! God bless you all and baby Halston❤️
Amen! Sutton is a real life Wonder Woman for giving birth naturally and Nate is a soldier for staying by Sutton's side through it!❤❤❤ Love you guys!😁😁😁
I vote different scenes just like you have now because its ADORABLE! Also, thank you for sharing life experience with everyone and talking through everything. Too often we think we are alone and we are not! God bless!
OMG Sutton looks incredibly pretty! She has THAT glow and is just beautiful! Sutton, you did a great job! Your kids look amazing and so does Nate ;) Greetings from Germany! 🇩🇪
I had two extremely difficult births, had a blood transfusion with my first, but with my last baby, had labor for two hours, I praised the Lord with each contraction, had her natural and no stitches! It was awesome! Nice way to end having children!
Please make the intro similar to the one you have now! I love seeing the beautiful God-given nature and the amazing trips you've done! I can't wait to see how you incorporate Halston!
I don’t know if Nate put the camera/phone in his pocket but I’m glad he did. It was amazing to hear all of the excitement. I felt so bad for Nate when they told him that it was too late for the epidural...it was like he wanted to argue and fight for Sutton. You just might have to camp in the parking lot next time...the next baby may be just as fast as Halston.
My daughter is 6 months and I remember yelling “I can’t do this!!!” during labor. Then I had the thought “There’s no one else who can do this for me. I HAVE to do this.” Very empowering and I definitely teared up listening to your birth video. Labor is still very fresh even 6 months later😂
Hello Sutton! My heart broke for you watching your labor video, but I’m so happy you and baby are doing well. If or when you decide to have more children, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take some classes on natural birth and hypnobirth. I think a lot of the trauma (or just the emotions that come from an unexpected birth outcome) that is caused by an unexpected natural delivery is due to most parents not being aware of how to cope with the pain and unaware of how to be supported during the natural laboring and delivering process. Hopefully you won’t have to actually utilize those techniques, but just in case your next delivery is similar to the one you just experienced, I think it would help to ease some of that fear and also help minimize the pain involved with natural birth, resulting in a much less traumatic experience; especially since labor and birth typically tend to follow the pattern of being faster with each subsequent pregnancy. Many women just plan on having an epidural and forgo preparing for a natural birth, and while in most cases getting an epidural and having it be an effective tool for pain management goes according to plan, unfortunately there are scenarios (as you experienced) where either there isn’t enough time to get one, or you are able to get one only for the epidural to fail and be ineffective. These situations are where I have most commonly seen birth trauma taking place, for both mom and dad. In my opinion, preparing for a natural birth vs preparing for an epidural assisted birth are two very different things, leaving many women unexpectedly unprepared, thinking that the only classes or education needed were ones that primarily prepared women for the epidural rather than a class SOLELY focusing on and dedicated towards learning the ins and outs of natural birth. I believe that all women should have the birth they desire, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with mamas desiring an epidural, but I think it’s important to prepare for all possible outcomes just in case, as nobody can predict how labor and birth will happen and what will take place. Being prepared isn’t 100% a guarantee either, but I do think it helps, and I’m sure that when you were giving birth two weeks ago, any amount of relief or minimized fear would have been helpful. I pray that your next birth is much easier on you and that you are able to get an epidural. When the time comes, it might also be worth discussing an induction with your OB, given how fast things happened this time and how you barely made it to the hospital in time. I’m just so happy for your family and your new sweet little edition. Prayers that your recovery continues to go smoothly and that you all stay safe and healthy during this current time. God bless! 🙏🏻💕
I agree with all this! My births are too fast for epidurals, but I always planned on natural birth. If you at least plan and prepare for the possibility of not getting an epidural, it won’t be nearly so traumatic! My 3rd child came so fast I had her unassisted at home.
The pain is insane. The ring of fire exists. Its real! Lol my first two were with an epidural. My 3rd was born in triage in an hour. I was not prepared. My husband was not prepared. But God showed me I could do it, too.
Congratulations to your family of four and all your family. What joy! As far as the intro, I vote for different clips & photos, but I'm sure whatever y'all create will be fun.
Girllll! I had 1natural and 1epidural too and was shocked about the "no relief" after baby was put on my chest! Nope, birth that placenta and stitch me back up pain! 🤣 But you do feel more like a super hero after a natural birth lol! Congrats on baby boy, he'll keep you on your toes growing up 🥰😁
I love how you clarify that everybody’s birth experience is different. I will say I have 3 weeks until I am due and watching your birth vlog terrified me. I’m planning to go in having a naturally l&d. I kinda panicked after hearing and seeing your experience. I’m also a FTM. But! I’m very thankful you said everybody’s experience and pain levels are different. Because as a ftm, it horrified me lol I loved you shared it but it definitely scared me!
Hi, after reading your comment I just wanted to give you a little encouragement! Yes, everyone has a different way of experiencing the pain and also different pain tolerance, no question about it! I had my first a little over a year ago completely unmedicated and I would do it again. Yes, it hurt a LOT but I was able to stay calm and managed to get through the pain. Definitely look into breathing techniques if you haven't already. Deep and controlled breathing helps a lot..just try to make it through the contractions, one at a time:) I definitely don't judge anyone who gets an epidural, but I will say it feels like a great accomplishment to do it all naturally. I will pray for you!
I had 2 births with an epidural And one without and I FEEL YOU GIRL. Omg. Epidural all the way. I couldn’t enjoy it either. And even afterwards, all the hormones in the world don’t numb the pain!
Congrats again! As a Natural Childbirth Educator and homebirth mom of 6, you have to PREPARE for the pain of labor. No one would run a marathon without training. No one should EVER give birth naturally without learning about the natural process of labor and birth. There are SO many comfort measures mom and dad (coach) can learn to make the discomfort so much more bearable. Natural birth is SO much safer for mom and baby. There are risks to having a medicated birth. Enjoy that sweet baby! ❤️
Sutton, just discovered you guys and HAD to comment because I too had a precipitous labor with my second child. Our stories are exactly the same!! It was VERY traumatic because I was not prepared for a natural childbirth. Just wanted to say, my third delivery was healing in so many ways (and took 8 hours vs 30 mins 😂) so even though you don’t feel traumatized just wanted to let you know that your next delivery can be totally different and peaceful 😊
Yeah, I'd love the first idea for the intro. I feel like more UA-camr's tend to do the second option but like Sutton said, it's so much more interesting to see different clips from your lives. Loved the video so much! And Halston's so cute!!!! 😍🥰❤️
I had the same experience, 1st child epidural 2nd natural. She describes it perfectly, with the epidural we could be present & aware to experience everything. Without the epidural the only thing that you can think of is need relief. Delivering your child is a beautiful miracle. No matter what it is painful but the epidural let's you enjoy the special details.
Sutton, you are a trooper! I've never had a baby but let me tell you, you did amazing! I make more noise when I'm at the dentist lol. I've actually had a dentist tell me "you should probably never have kids!" Yeah....I'm a baby lol. Anyway, I just found your channel last week and I've been binge watching your videos. Love you guys! Thanks for sharing your lives with us!
This video had me so emotional!!! Hearing your pain, oh my gosh😭 Proud and happy for you, Sutton!! We had our second baby (a girl this time) just a couple months before you on March 31st. I will say I’m surprised you weren’t warned about second babies coming faster😮My OBGYN doctor (and many mama acquaintances) told me to “cut the time in half” from my first labor for the second baby. And to not wait around at home this time.. even with a 4 year gap between our children. Good to know that you said you’ll just camp at the hospital parking lot next time🤣 Love and blessings to you from San Diego, CA❤️
Thank you guys so much for sharing..always blesses me...he's such a pretty baby & good too huh?, not fussy. About updating your utube intro, I'm with Sutton. #1 suggestion Nate. I'll miss yr. current intro has it's what drew me to even begin to watch you guys. Your current intro is beautiful, classic & unlike any other. Be blessed, be well & safe. You guys are loved!
I love how Sutton said in the past she had no idea how a woman could do natural birth but here we are. She did it!
Nate was about to let Halston’s head roll off of his shoulders lol. Love yall
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😭 yes!
Nate please hold his head better 😅 the way u were holding him in the beginning gave me anxiety 😅
I agree! He really should😅
I noticed that right away haha oof
Me tooooooo aaaahhhh
Meh, my son would push his head back like that intentionally trying to look at something starting around 10 days old.
Oh my goodness me too!!! Please! Ever since having a baby myself I notice things like that about other parents and I'm thinking in my head "oh my goodness please do this or dont do this you are making me SO nervous!!😅"
I was so nervous watching Nate hold the baby's head. You had to support it & can't move it around too much!!
As a youngish guy looking forward to marriage/raising a family some day, I really respect and look up to your example, Nate. God bless you guys :))
I really appreciate that man thank you!
That's so sweet!
That is awesome!!! God Bless you Ben!
Which is ??????!!!! 😂😂😂
“He likes a little stretch” -Nate *death glare from Sutton* 😂❤️
You were not prepared for a natural delivery or had any help in coping with the the level of pain or how to cope through the different stages as they come on top of each other. Better prepared no matter how fast as my first was 1 hour and last was 20 min.! Hope you plan better next time as you found out things can move very fast.

Be careful with the baby's head not to let it fall backwards. Very delicate. Hold his head properly.
Lol!! They knew this was coming!!!

@@lexieoverman7341 For a very good reason 😲
@@nateandsutton Love how calm and respectful your response to Nate was regarding proper holding of baby.

It’s ok... Sutton warned Nate they’d come😅but everyone felt the need to comment anyway- that’s UA-cam for ya!
Oh he was stretching, stop.
Oh my goodness😬 when Nate wasn’t supporting his neck I almost tried to grab Halston through the screen to help him😢
Just love how comfortable and honest you guys are! You have a lovely family...God Bless you!
The way nate was praying your pain away during the labor was so touching... love your family😊😊💞👨👩👦👦🐕
Omg I was so scared when I saw Nathaniel holding baby Halston like that. Btw Sutton is glowing!!

My 3rd child came so fast I had her unassisted at home.
thanks for answering our questions, it’s really interesting to know!!! Halston is such a cutie !!
The pain is insane. The ring of fire exists. Its real! Lol my first two were with an epidural. My 3rd was born in triage in an hour. I was not prepared. My husband was not prepared. But God showed me I could do it, too.
And don't rock his head at this early age. It's very delicate. Enjoy your bundle of joy.
HE'S SO ADORABLE!!!
Congratulations to your family of four and all your family. What joy! As far as the intro, I vote for different clips & photos, but I'm sure whatever y'all create will be fun.
I’m so glad you weren’t traumatized. I was afraid you would be.
I like your current intro style.
Love you Sutton you did great! I’m so dead “I’m camping out so I can get an epidural” yes girl same
I had 2 births with an epidural
And one without and I FEEL YOU GIRL. Omg. Epidural all the way. I couldn’t enjoy it either. And even afterwards, all the hormones in the world don’t numb the pain!
Congratulations on your growing family. You're all beautiful. ~ As for the new intro ... I like the bits and pieces of your life. :)
I'm definitely taking your story, Sutton its my abstinence ! i will be waiting!
Oh and your hair looks so pretty Sutton!
Thank you for the tip Sutton. I'm due in 2 weeks with my baby boy and i don't want to miss getting an Epidural if i have to. Congrats !!
awe Halston is so cuddly :)
My youngest niece is almost 5 months old. They grow up so fast, i can't wait to see him smile :D
What a beautiful family! You look great Sutton!
Yes she looks gorgeous
He is so adorable 😍😍 and I agree with Sutton with the first clip of random shots :)
Sutton you are beautiful! I give you major props for getting ready. I bet 2 kids is a handful, to say the least.
"And I'm camping out in the hospital parking lot to be there on time" Ahahahahaha
My vote for the new intro...make it like your current one. I like seeing all the shots of the progression of your lives together. 😊
LOL- Nate was stressin me out in the intro!! Sutton read my mind- hold yo’ baby right! 🤣👏
Lol I love her transparency- she loved that epidural! I would love to hear more about Nate’s experience comparing the two.
I LOVE YOU GUYS!! “it’s coming up” hahahah ! also, i like the random clips for the intro :)
I like how the current one looks. You should do something like that !
Agreed!
Please support his head when holding him!! He is so adorable ❤️❤️❤️
such a strong woman sutton! and would love the first option for the intro video! fun clips are so cute and entertaining to watch!
Yeah, I'd love the first idea for the intro. I feel like more UA-camr's tend to do the second option but like Sutton said, it's so much more interesting to see different clips from your lives. Loved the video so much! And Halston's so cute!!!! 😍🥰❤️
Love the honesty and rawness in y’all’s videos!
1st intro suggestion is my vote. Great video guys.
One location shoot!! Would be so cute!! To see everyone where they are currently in life!
OMGoodness! Halston is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute! Y'all sure do have some beautiful babies.
I had 3 babies just before epidurals were introduced. Very painful! Thanks for sharing your experience.
😂 so funny! Welcome to the family! 💛
Enjoyed this Q&A. Beautiful family. I also vote for the current intro theme.
Wow, your midwife was very helpful, she's like an Angel! Thank you all for making this video. We love you
This video had me so emotional!!!
LOVE the random fun clips of your lives!
I held my breath about the babies head falling back so far. Whew!!!!
The beautiful boys can be proud to have such a good parents like you two, God bless you all ✨❤️
Thank you guys so much for sharing..always blesses me...he's such a pretty baby & good too huh?, not fussy. About updating your utube intro, I'm with Sutton. #1 suggestion Nate. I'll miss yr. current intro has it's what drew me to even begin to watch you guys. Your current intro is beautiful, classic & unlike any other. Be blessed, be well & safe. You guys are loved!
