Practical advice. Ear protection and a simple water bottle are the other necessities that I would add.

One thing i keep in saddle bag is a small first aid kit and hand sanitizer just encase... and for long trips some lil packets of mustard.

All great tips. Full face is where it's at. Covered in all conditions. 100% agree about having multiple pairs of gloves too. Gotta be prepared for different weather conditions! Great video brother 👍

One thing I have had a use for was a small pair of vice grips, maybe 6" at the smallest. I once lost the foot shifter on my 83 FLHT and didn't notice it until I had to down shift. I pulled over, shut the bike down, just took my vice grips out of my tool kit and clamped them on the shaft to use as a shift lever while I back tracked a couple miles and found the lever laying in the middle of the road. They were a life saver. Also, zip ties, a lot of uses. Great video and no ruffled feathers here.

I used to use tent / camp dry on my riding gear. I'm not sure if it really helped, but it made me feel better.
Wear the FF helmet and carry the beanie helmet in case you need to give your 1-night stand a ride in a helmet required State.
If she's drunk, use the bungees to strap her to the bike.

I always enjoy your vids. I started riding about ten years ago and do all my own maintenance. And I carry all the tools you showed. Funny thing though, in more than a quarter million miles, I've NEVER used the tools on the bike while on a trip. Guess I'm very lucky. A shout out for the High Viz stuff. Next to the full face helmet, truly a "must have". And one can't beat real leather for warmth and comfort. Stay safe!!

18:31 something I add to my mandatory to have kit.. zip ties and tape of some kind. (duct or electrical typically) Things tend to break on long trips, and you can "fix" things while on the road well enough to continue and hopefully until you get home to fix it properly.

Good info here in this video, thanks for putting it together, GKue.
Pre-planning is the key to an enjoyable road trip.
Like a Boy Scout, it's best to be prepared for the unexpected. On a motorcycle trip one little thing, can cause a miserable day on the road, or worst yet being stranded on the side of the road.

A can of WD-40 or Ballistol, a small tube of blue loctite, a small tube or some of the little packs at the parts house register of dielectric grease, a headlamp preferably rechargeable and a couple microfiber towels for sure....and I wear prescription glasses so a spray bottle of lense cleaner...works great on visors too 😅

You're so right, my brother. I have most tools that will get me to point A to point B. Also, I have a harley Air pump. Have used my tools for lose bolts and helped my friend with his Harley when he broke down in Big Bend, Texas. And out there, you're on your own if not prepared. And I always wear the full-face. Excellent video, my brother. And I will share. Peace ✌🏾 and ❤to ya!

My wife bought a full face helmet for me. Never have worn one before. I ride a naked 01 softail deuce, and the difference it made, physically (not as much wind buffering, so, less neck strain), on interstate riding, was incredible! Put some speakers in it for my tunes, and good to go! Will be upgrading to a nicer helmet soon. Good video!

Great tips. I prescribe to the full face/ boots/ tools, and I use it. The tool kit is very closely related to my tools in the airplane! I do have a suggestion. As a career mechanic, a pair of Knipex pliers for your road tools. These things are awesome. You can get the most stubborn bolts out with these. Available everywhere. Additionally a roll of silicon tape (aka rescue tape) and a good length of safety wire (maybe bubble gum too. lol)

Another great video!! I always travel with a couple of sugar free liquid IV packs and I keep a bottle of water in my bag.
Reason for this, if I break down at least I will have hydration packets with electrolytes and water. ( hey warm wanted is better than none in an emergency)
Living in the southwest desert of AZ, I ride during the summer with a camelbak also. Lots of sunscreen and chapstick.

Right on about all of it! With respect to gloves, have different weights. Temperature changes can be surprising, especially if you are riding in higher altitudes or after sundown. I try to avoid riding after sundown, but sometimes things happen on the road. 😁

Good info bro, I would also add, if you changed your shifter rod linkage keep the factory one in your bags, and also keep the shifter shaft, these are neglected maintenance parts, but I have seen it many times , those will leave you on the side of the highway ‼️👍🏾 Keep repin the boot bro‼️
