    OGs will remember the gravy cancel online tournaments and VODs. That was when brawl was super unpolished but we saw online demons like Jellyfish and Lanz. It's crazy to think that open beta was way back in 2015 man. For all the shit decisions BMG makes with balance and releases I can say that we all love this game

  • @traveller0074
    @traveller0074 2 роки тому +8

    I really hope they continue making most tournaments online, even with all the drawbacks and cons to it, this tournament format has definitely shown that it's benefited the game's competitive scene as it's easier for more people to participate in tourneys. though I do think that the occasional lan would be good. As for who I think is going to win msi, I'm hoping that Boomie wins it because of how he's struggled to preform in the last few online tourneys and it'd be cool to see him back at lan with a win, but realistically, Godly is probably who I see most likely to if he manages to make the trip, I also feel that Stringray's going to have a surprise run.

    • @Vondakay
      @Vondakay  2 роки тому +1

      I agree I hope the continue to host some of the Tournaments online. I like having the bigger tournaments in person though and maybe this will make the community online tourneys more popular. I would want either Sandstorm or Boomie to win or just like some random old pro. I am surprised that everyone thinks Godly is so good, I need to watch him more.

      @@Vondakay Godly is absolutely insane. If you ever watched EU Tournaments from the online era before Godly's rise, you'd say nobody would ever touch Acno.
      Nowadays, when you see Acno Vs Godly, you almost feel like Acno is the underdog, it's crazy. Godly has great movements, insane option selection and he can effectively control the pace that the game is played like i haven't seen before. The first time i heard about Godly was when he did a Money Match against Simple, after that, he started steamrolling EU. Dude is one of the most exciting players in BH E-Sports atm.

    You know Sandstorm came from competing in smash right? The "only previous gaming experience in geometry dash" comment was clearly something you hadnt put much thought into, and that set the pace for the rest of the video. It felt rushed, and didnt really have a strong point or any arguments or even explanations behind your opinions. By the end of it, i feel as though i've just listened to someone rattle off a series of brawl related talking points without ever doing anything with or saying anything interesting about them.
    Im trying to be constructive here, by the way. Id also like to point out that uhh.. there were still several open bracket online majors every year before covid? You could see how this basic fact invalidates or at the very least raises STRONG skepticism to a majority of the talking points made in this video.
