I love this whole album! A great addition to Planet 9 series! It's honestly been on repeat for quite a while. Kiss in the Rain though takes it for me. The keys, the guitar, the rhythm, vocals everything. Just chefs kiss. Thanks for sharing your reaction.
Oh yeah the struggle with Shoot it OUT was something else. It wasn't a surprise that you struggled but I agree. Aurora's chorus is top tier

This whole album is a Million/10 and I expect nothing less from Onewe cuz they whole discography is 🤌... I missed Yonghoon and Kanghyun and im so glad they are back... Yonghoon's voice made me cry listening to Beautiful Ashes but I mean the man could sing the alphabet and it would be the most beautiful and emotional thing I've ever heard! I'd say my most favorite songs off the album where Beautiful Ashes of course and Count The Stars... And Aurora really is just THAT SONG like its literally my favorite song ever no song will ever beat it for me
Also side note I love your ranking and that you are honest about how you feel about the songs but I swear my soul hurts a little every time A Book In Memory gets moved down the list 😭 but that's just cuz its my 2nd favorite Onewe song.

I'm so unsure about these ranks because the songs are just so new and I don't want them to be influenced by recency bias but I know they probably still are. Alas. 😔
Not sure what else you've reacted to that hasn't been posted yet, but if you haven't gotten to Giuk's albums yet Meteor Shower very much feels like it was intended for his second release so you have that to look forward to!

at first i thought beautiful ashes would not be one of my fave onewe title but now its competing with universe as my top onewe song, this song again is masterpiece

in the first few listens my fave was shoot it out then meteor shower then beautiful ashes but now i think its beautiful ashes with both meteor shower and shoot it out so close behind count the stars is also a beautiful song

I felt generally the same about Pleasant and feel a bit bad about it 😅 I had watched the highlight medley before the album release and felt pretty confident I'd enjoy the first 3 songs, but I felt weirdly "meh" about the other 3. then when the album released, beautiful ashes was as expected, shoot it out and meteor shower _blew me away_ (meteor shower is even competing with cosmos for my favorite song ever), count the stars grew on me after a couple of listens, kiss in the rain was as expected (very nice song, but far too soft/slow for my taste), and poor, poor pleasant was in the awkward spot of feeling almost too "peppy" when that's never been a gripe I've had with a onewe song lol
pleasant _has_ grown on me, but a big reason for that was a clip of yonghoon dancing to it like an absolute maniac! man blew out harins birthday candles with his moves 🤣

So excited for this reaction, I'm so happy that we finally have new OT5 ONEWE music! Planet Nine: Isotropy doesn't beat out Planet Nine: Alter Ego for me, but it still definitely lives up to the amazing quality of all three Planet Nine mini albums. Regarding your ranking list, I don't take offense even if I have some faves that are low down on your list, since a) it's clear that you still appreciate all their music, and b) there's really no winning with a ONEWE ranking list, because all of their songs are so good that it inevitably comes down to personal taste as to which songs get ranked where. That being said, here's my tiered ranking:
Tier 1 is songs that are just magical in the way they transport me or affect my mood, Tier 2 is songs that I always absolutely love listening to, Tier 3 is songs that I really enjoy but that either don't directly hit my emotions as much OR that hit HARD when they hit, but I'm not always in the mood for, Tier 4 is songs that I appreciate but don't seek out much, and Tier 5 are songs that are not really my style.
Tier 1: *Meteor Shower* , *Kiss in the Rain* , *Shoot It Out* , Universe_, Parting, Cosmos, Montage_, Veronica, Eraser, LOGO, If, Rain to Be

Basically I grew up on a British Soft Rock Band called, Tears for Fears. A band with two male singers. They have quite a few emotional rock songs in their discography, Kanghyun’s guitar sound reminds me a lot of them. So there’s a nostalgic sound to Onewe for me besides the fact that they are awesome anyway! 🥰
