Channie is our "gentle giant"...he is definitely full of passion for music in all aspects. He loves rock music and can play covers of so many popular songs, by legends, from Led Zeppelin to Queen to Linkin Park...on either the piano or guitar...music is in his soul...you should see him do "Bohemian Rhapsody"...the guitar and piano parts perfectly, all by memory, just cause he grew up playing so many instruments, he can hear something he likes and boom, it's in his memory. Often times you see his fingers on his lap playing parts of a song when it comea on and he's just chilling, it's a kind of reflex that happens without any attention span of what's going on around him. His musicality is superior, and that makes for a good songwriter and producer. He bought a building and gutted out the first floor to build his own recording studio and an area with a bar for guests to chill out at...he's very much into designing and architecture and studied that as well to build his studio. Very talented individual. We love our "happy virus" member.💙🌺

SM Entertainment is known for Vocals and Visuals. You can't be in SM without being able to sing and that does include rappers. In the past, SM used to take trainees and make them rap regardless of whether or not they've done it before. SM never went out actively looking for rappers back then. That seems to have changed a bit with the fourth generation of K-pop groups. SM focuses on Vocals so EVERYONE gets proper vocal training. Every SM idol usually trains for years in all aspects of entertainment and therefore are the most well-rounded idols. SM believes stuff like dancing, singing can be taught for those they think that have potential. Shinee's Taemin couldn't sing when he started, NCT's leader was almost hopeless at dancing, TVXQ's JaeJoong said he was almost tone deaf when he first started but boy did he have the visuals. LOL You see all these idol audition shows everywhere but nobody ever questions WHY SM is the only of the big agencies to never send any trainees to one of these shows. That's because just getting into SM, surviving and actually being able to debut in a SM group is harder than ANY audition show on tv. I believe Shinee's Key said that he was the only one that made it out of 8,000 applicants during his particular SM audition. I think on another interview, EXO's Lay said there were about 120 trainees and every week SM eliminated trainees until they reached the final 12 original members who debuted as EXO.
Chanyeol is an amazing person. Super talented. I feel like he’s always showing us another side of him. Another talent. Another hobby. He’s so interesting to follow. His vocals are so raspy and deep. It’s always a pleasure to hear him sing/rap as well as listen to music he himself has produced/written. I’m very excited to see where his career takes him. To me he’s like a jack of all trades. "Lightsaber" is a collaboration between EXO and Star wars. Disney had seen their live performance of "El Dorado" and had requested for this collaboration. There's actually a music video (short version) you can check out, or a live performance. The one at the Japan concert is amazing.
He's our multitalented Happy Virus 🥰 he's so passionate about music, his members, his family, his friends, and his fans. He has an amazing and unique voice. Even non-Main-Vocalists in EXO have great voices, that's why they are called Vocal Kings. I mean where can you find a group with 3 main vocalists, 2 lead vocalists, and 4 vocalists. Also, the parts where he finds himself handsome, which he is btw, might be taken differently from a non-fan point of view, but Chanyeol is actually a sweetheart and very humble. I recommend listening to “All Night” by them first since that song was the reason a lot of people started listening to them. Then you can choose wether to go back to debut era or go on up from All night. One thing to know is Astro grew up A LOT. Like when I say a lot I mean a…. lot. I’m not talking about talent wise bc that’s always been there but I’m talking about image wise. When they first debuted they were more on the playful side and cute side. Now they be having me barking randomly😪😪 but yes Astro is an amazing group who has some of the best/hardest choreography. When you watch them dance it looks so tiring bc alot of the times the Choreo is nonstop and goes on with very little breaks.
