Printing a Resingrave/ Wood Engraving on an Etching Press

This is a short video of us pulling a proof print on our Conrad etching press. This is a Resingrave engraving, which is similar to a wood engraving. The block of Resingrave is 3 x 6 inches, showing a Caribou in the Alaskan wilderness.
The etching press is fitted with a removable homemade wooden chase and lockup system to keep the block in place. This is a wooden jig that holds the block square in the top right corner. A piece of wood is bumped up to the block's side and then locked in with a wooden wedge. The wedge is tapped in, locking the whole system very tight.
When the print is pulled, the wedge just releases by hand and the process repeats. Fantastic way to keep the block from shifting when it goes through the press, which tends to leave a smudged line on the print.
The height of the chase/jig is just slightly shorter then the block, so the block can get a nice impression as it goes through the press. Careful attention goes to adjusting the press pressure, as too much could be very easy to crack the block.

can you tell me more about the rig you built to hold the block? I'm currently struggling to dial this all in, and this is really impressive. i'm curious what type of wood you used. also, it looks like the resingrave is just barely higher than the outside frame, but i'm curious what the difference is. also, I've read elsewhere not to use felts for resingrave, but since your prints seem to be coming out spectacularly, im willing to rethink that. alllllso, there appears to be one sheet of something blue under the felt that i can't quite identify. also, do you want to just sell me one of these? great work/many thanks
