You asked how it was going so I'll leave a comment for once, haha. I love this style of content, you've been keeping me company as I chop mangrove wood (a pain, such a pain). I really like the fact that you're building without spruce, I feel like every build I see uses spruce and when your starting location isn't anywhere near a spruce forest it's super hard to find build inspo!

I love these kind of aesthetic, chill and simple minecraft gameplay, no complicated tasks, no fighting. I wish you do this using the better minecraft mod

I like the video just as is. Considering it's in the background and I'm not actively watching, the chill pace let's me "tune in" every 10 minutes or so and see how the progress is coming. It's VERY similar to my own longplay episodes, which I make because I enjoy it, so this content is right up my alley! Hence 'watching' the full thing, haha (while at work, don't tell my boss).
Experimentation is great! It helps you know what you do and don't like about content creation and Minecraft. My latest video was just that, me trying something I've wanted to try for a while. Try not to stress viewership numbers and make what excites you and you are passionate about! Your community will grow from that.
A chimney, attic windows, or even a sunroom will break up the roof a bit as well.
Happy Halloween! The thing with people who enjoy long-play videos is we appreciate going on the journey with the person playing, the little moments like the creeper dropping in to say hello, or you making the same roof design for the hundredth time. There's a genuineness in long-plays, because all the footage is there, where a hyper-cut video allows the creator to only point out what they see as "the good stuff."
I'm curious, now that you've made a longplay experience video, what are your thoughts about it? Did you enjoy it? If you were to do another, what would you do differently or the same?
Honestly, if I wanted a true relaxing experience, I should have played on peaceful or easy 😅
I enjoyed recording this video and will probably continue with it as of now! It feels like streaming without the pressure of being live. I don't think I would do anything different other than maybe allowing myself to take a break in the middle.

i just binged your better minecraft series and the lets play 1.19 series, had this playing the background while i wrote a super long english essay. helped it go by so much faster! i love your videos so much, so calming and enjoyable.
Thank you for doing a long play series with commentary! I love the ones without but sometimes I need to hear someone's voice while I'm doing other things because it like... feels like body doubling? And it definitely helps when I'm feeling lonely but can't make plans with friends. So yeah, thanks!

I just got to say, I greatly enjoyed this video. This is the first video I’ve seen from you. I don’t really find all that many female players for Minecraft so it was a nice change. I greatly enjoyed your video as well. I put it on as background noise while I tried to write. But now I just want to play. Like when I watch DanTDM Minecraft videos, I have the urge to go play. I can’t wait to watch more videos from you!

I enjoyed this video so much! I came across your video from my UA-cam recommend page and I really enjoy your personality and play style so far, I'm glad I found your channel and I'm definitely subscribing, I obviously haven't watched any of your other videos since this is the first I came across but I'm sure I will enjoy them as well and I love the idea of having long play videos because like you yourself said early into the video I also get things done better with videos playing in the background!

15:51 Honestly though, living in a village seems easier than building in the middle of nowhere but hit me out though, I know there are lots of materials around your base area to use to make your starter house, but setting up in a village and alternating between using trees and stone MINED around your base area and setting up a trading hall containing shepherds, for wool and masons for stone types seems a much more efficient and slow and steady process to me! Do any of you guys agree, and you Sparkle Eggs!

loving the video, thought id comment while youre going through the jungle. you like manual farming with crops and animals etc, have you thought about doing a modded world? there are some great mods that add more animals and ways to farm/breed them etc. also loads of food/crops with mods like pams. it would also give you more of a long play i think with extra biomes and mobs. 🙂
Yes definitely! I love playing modded Minecraft and definitely want to on my channel at some point.
You like playing the game just like I do, but I always use scaffold. It's one of the first things I try to get when starting a new game.

also, you saying your frame rate drops, have you changed the amount of ram allocated to your world? its normally set to 2mb but putting it to about 7mb seems to work best. 🙂

I dont use seeds. Yes I explore for a very long time. Yep I would love to have a seed with a lot of islands. With limited resourses would be a great start. The only place to start is to go down.... Hope that zombies drop potatoes and carrots
