That scene where Mikael admits he originally had no true reason for hating Klaus gets me every time. The acting in that scene was so perfect. I've always loved how Joseph can portray so much emotion and a mixture of emotions so powerfully and sometimes with nothing but a look.
Mikael was a sadist and hedonist way before he met Esther And Dahlia the cruelty of his parents made certain of that he constantly wiped out hundreds of Men, Women, And Children that were normal civilians and not criminals nor opposing war parties yeah.

@@hao9508 Legacies has its moments but it’s not something I’d rewatch… I love Hope Mikaelson as well as the two actresses that played her but that show…. Only episodes I loved were the ones that included The Original Family
After watching through the Originals I came to think one of the reasons Mikael treated Klaus the way he did is because he saw a lot of himself in Klaus and on some level I think Mikael hated himself for failing to protect Freya at the time(obviously he wasn't aware of the full details regarding the situation) and so he ended up projecting that hatred onto Klaus because Klaus's "weakness" to him was a constant reminder of his failure to protect his daughter. The thing is though, overtime when you develop certain habits or attitudes towards certain things you sometimes forget the reason why you even bagan feeling that way in the first place because you've done it so much it just becomes a part of you. Granted its been a while since I've watched the series so I may be forgetting some details.

Wow This is an Absolutely Amazing Masterpiece for Mikael Mikaelson and Niklaus Mikaelson’s Relationship. Both You (Neeklaus) and TVDU Editor both did a Phenomenal Job with this video this was the first video I saw that really showed There full story. They Definitely had the most Complex Father and Son Relationship. Klaus and Mikael’s Rivalry Between Them was always My Time Favorite Rivalry in The Entire The Vampire Diaries Universe. I definitely understand why they hated each other. Mikael definitely had no excuse to treat Klaus like shit Beating and Verbally Abusing him now I don’t blame Klaus for Henrik’s death or for Killing Esther since she was trying to denying him to be a Hybrid and course Mikael killing Ansel (Niklaus Mikaelson’s Real Father). But Framing Mikael for Esther’s death was a really bad idea and then telling his family about it so they wouldn’t leave him. So yeah I definitely think that both did terrible things to each other. I really enjoyed having them team up was Incredible I do wish that they could’ve found a way to get over there feud with each other and found a way to get along with each other. I never liked that literally a man as bad as him wasn't given a reason to hate Klaus. No... no the "I hate you just because I do" is some of the biggest crap I've seen in recent times in the series. Give me something... don't tell me she hates him just because, what is that? The way she talked about Klaus, the way she looked at him, the idea of him in her head always expressed to me that Klaus was doing something unconsciously that made him angry. I always wanted Klaus to be the living embodiment of his dead sister (Freya) in physique, in personality. It would have been brutal if they had even told me that she still loved to paint. That the reason Michael hates Klaus, is because in his twisted mind he saw a child trying to replace his firstborn. That later his hatred grew even more when he found out that he was not his biological son. That the bastard of his family was so much like the girl he loved so much, it stirred everything inside him and now he just wanted to kill him and have him die like his innocent little girl died. Give me something deeper to produce something so.... that I say "Wow now I understand why it seemed like Klaus was doing something against Michael" and that was that he was replacing Freya in him. Then many, many of Michael's dialogues would have more weight in the story than a "I hate you just because I choose to".
10:03 someone might think this is exactly what happened and Klaus betrayed and Killed Mikeal just like that but no. Scenes were cut from there. That’s not truly the story. Klaus is no monster on the inside.
No, he hated him long before they turned into vampires... In fact, he had been mistreating him since childhood, Klaus had only known violence from his father. He was always seen as the black sheep of the family, and he was always afraid of being followed by the other siblings.
But was he wrong though......Mikael's purpose was the elimination of vampires,,,who survive by feeding on the blood of humans.....and the quickest way to achieve his goal was to kill his children.....so why was he the bad guy?

No, he hated him long before they turned into vampires... In fact, he had been mistreating him since childhood, Klaus had only known violence from his father. He was always seen as the black sheep of the family, and he was always afraid of being followed by the other siblings.

Mikael was the reason they became vampires. He forced the mother do a dark spell will the doppleganger blood. He is a bad person for hating them for his own doing
