In part 2 of a journey through the Kandze region of Kham, Carol Brighton, paper maker and longtime Tibet traveler, explores unexpected spiritual art on the road to Pelyul, and a genuine cultural treasure in Derge. These images accompany a blog post at YoWangdu Tibetan Culture at this link: www.yowangdu.com/tibet-travel/...
Utterly beautiful. The music completed it perfectly. Thank you.
Excellent thankyou
Lhamo la, there are great Tibetan musicians both inside and outside Tibet. We are seriously happy to hear any of your recommendations to us for good Tibetan musicians, from anywhere, who would allow us to use their music on our videos. Do you have any suggestions, with contact information?
Thank you for showing beauty of kham . Tashidelek. I will like to visit ones in my life to this land. Where my ancestors were moved to shar khumbu of Nepal. Tnq
We are so happy to share, Tendi Sherpa la, and hope that you can visit your ancestors’ land one day. Be well.
Lovely music. I'm on the road to dege right now
Nice! Hope you had a great trip!
Thank you for your comment. The music is from our dear friend, traditional Tibetan singer Techung, who has kindly agreed to allow us to use his beautiful song "Snow Lion of Peace." We love the music but understand that others may not agree. If you have a suggestion for a different kind of music, and how to contact the singer to ask for permission to use it, let us know.
Very beautiful! it made me cry...
Thanks for letting us know, Lhamo. If either of you have a suggestion for a different kind of music, and how to contact the singer to ask for free permission to use it, please let us know. We would love to use Khamba music, which is what we assume you mean about this, but we don't have access to anyone who might let us use their music.
Sorry, we never use an artist's work without permission.
:-)
The background music, whose is it? No melody, no voice. And it does not complement the pictures. Wrong choice of music
