What this has to do with 2016 elections? Trump isn't a dictator (exept maybe in his mind but that is nothing new when it comes to politicians). He has less power than US presidents in general. If you want to look for a would be tyrant then look at Obama or Clinton campaing. Obama in particular. It took quite a while anyone dared even to make a joke about him in public (as in media) and he could do no wrong. Clinton was much the same and media made it clear that anyone who didn't vote for Clinton was a bad person ect. And Trump was elected largely because Clinton campaing spend some 90% of their advertisement budget for slandering Trump. If you bring up Orwell's name then you should understand that Trump is the least worrysome person in that aspect. Trump doesn't have that authority as US president usualy has and everyone knows to check first before doing anything significant that president orders.

Donald Trump's great great great great ... granddaughter.
@Rulerzful No, I didn't
Amazing. This fictional character represents people who enable dictators. And this was about 20 years before the 2016 election. Orwellian
Looks like the previous comment was before the overturning of Roe v. Wade and January 6th.
She reminds me of the latest wh puppet.
Alternative dictionary
I don't like watching this scene... it's too similar to the modern day. JMS Confirmed for Clairvoyance.
DS9 made a similar story (that they didn't plagiarize from B5) of our 'future' called "Past Tense" a two-parter. Use any search engine and type in "The Bell Riots". Then look up the inspiration for the story on UA-cam. It's eerie how the showrunners got the 'real' future right.
Sadly it's not clairvoyance. It's history. Ultanationalism is not a new concept, and Clark's regime is rooted in many fascist governments that came about during the 1920s-1930s...not just Nazi Germany. Europe was swimming in them, and not just there.
Ignorance and the selfish need for power is what allows it to happen again.
Sounds like what US Politics is becoming.
She's saying everything Trump supporters say.
No, she's not. I hate to break it to you, but it's not conservatives or Trump supporters rewriting the dictionary, it's the LEFT doing that.

Yeah not even close bud.
This woman is just a propaganda puppet.
Sounds like my country now...
George Carlin would have a lot to say about this 'EarthGov' thing in the future. Not that he wasn't vocal already about it.
Or to US politics. With the lock downs and the virus scare it couldn't get more real.
The far-Right religious zealots don't believe Biology is a science. Only faith matters.
Neil deGrasse Tyson said that COVID was a test to see whether Americans would listen to public health professionals and scientists. We didn't and 1 million died, plus those that died of other causes more so than 2019 because they weren't going to the hospital or doctors for treatment of their non-COVID symptoms.
PC culture well predicted in one scene.
I believe the phrase you are looking for is, "Alternative facts." 😉
Not PC. That was what Righties called those who want people treated with respect and the end of racial epithets. Scratch the surface, and you'll see that the anti-PCs want to go back to a mythical past when they supposedly could verbally abuse women, gays, and minorities.
Typical neoliberals: there is no hunger!!🤪
Years ago, I noticed that the news posted stories of the homeless almost every day during the Reagan and Bush administrations. But that went away during the Clinton administration. And they came back when Bush-43 was elected.
UK Politics?! Joe Straczynski basically predicted every blonde Fox News/Alt-Right blonde bimbo-bot that's been in front of a camera these last 10 years! And he did it in...lessee...Season 3, so that's...1995!!
Actualy, he had russia in his mind (his parents are IIRC from Ukraine). And my personal experience points to the left when looking at this video. But maybe it is different in US.
I watched the movie, _Bombshell_ about the blondes at Fox News and how they pretended it wasn't policy to show off their legs to the fans. But who was that movie for? To paraphrase a line in Harry Potter, "You deserved to be lied to if you're" still watching Fox or listening to Limbaugh's successors.
Sounds like the Biden administration.
Ha!
