Bebe kids is a great movie, one of my childhood movies . When I was younger i didnt really realize the symbolism this movie showed until I gotten older (23) what happened in this movie is still prevalent in black communities. Men having kids and not being there for them leaving the woman to take care of all the responsibility , but still blame woman for 90% of the problems in the black community. The woman left with the kids , then here comes a man she’s dating trying to be the father . Some times the woman aren’t the best either . Just never ending cycle
It ALL just comes down to making GOOD Decisions at the end of the day. You pretty much said everything already pal but the cycle is broken only by Good People making Good Choices and Being....Good.

The Hudlin brothers, who created “House Party” & which Robin Harris also co-starred in, were originally going to make a live movie version of “Bebe’s Kids” starring Harris. But when Harris died, unexpectedly, @ 37 in 1990, they decided to make this animated version, instead, in his honor. 😎
I didn't notice this when I was a kid, but Jameka was conniving. Robin originally planned to take her and her son Leon to Fun World. Robin pulls up and at the last minute Jameka insists on bringing three more kids and doesn't even bother to help pay (even though SHE'S the one who's babysitting). Why didn't she ask Robin beforehand if it was alright to bring along three more kids? That's some underhanded foolishness Jameka pulled because she basically took advantage of that man's kindness. If I was Robin, I probably would've drove off as soon as I saw those other kids.

I saw this shit a yr ago & now that I recognized it while scrolling through youtube, I clicked on it. This was released in the 1990's? Damn, this is older than me. I was born in 2005.
Bebe only left $20. That wasn't enough to get one of her kids in since a child is $35 each and an infant is $45. So Bebe's kids cost a total of $115. Robin, Jamika, & Leon are $105 total. Was Bebe expecting Jamika to pay for her kids or just leech off Robin?? If I was Robin we wouldn't be going cause he was just expecting to pay for himself, Jamika, & Leon, plus food and whatever else he may have purchased at Fun World. Senior citizens are getting a 1.44% discount, how thoughtful of Fun World lol.

I remember renting this movie so much from the library when I was a little kid! I forgot the name but never forgot the animation and just gave up on searching for it when suddenly I just randomly found it on Netflix! Was interesting to watch it again after never watching it for over 20 years!

The movie is based on Robin Harris' comedy skit ...he died two years before the movie but Fazion Love played Robin Harris so that is Fazion Loves voice. If you first watch it in the very beginning you'll see Robin Harris start to tell the story in a comedy skit. So this movie is basically about an experience Robin Harris had.
My favorite was LaShawn. She was one tough cookie.
