a year after that, him (and his family) started receiving a lot of hate because of how mnet portrayed him. they evil edited haknyeon at produce 101 season 2 to make it seems like he's a lazy and greedy person. because of that, a lot of people started harassing him and his mother. he lost a lot of supporters there that ends up with him loosing at the show too. cre.ker have to issue a statement that tells everyone to back off after everything that happened.
the proof of how he's not what mnet portrayed him started surfacing after that though. there's a lot of videos and posts on the internet about that.
i remember watching a video (i think its a vlive? im not really sure) where he said that he's really a soft-hearted person so i think that everything really got to him back then.
but he still managed to get through that and his smile still remains as bright as before. i think that the boyz have helped him a lot.

OMG ty for doing this. The minute I saw the title I was hoping that Vlive moment where Haknyeon tries to leave and Jacob traps him in his arms was there and yay you did not disappoint! I havent' seen most of these so yay! Also I literally thought to myself "oh will there be Hyunjun (Hwall) moments in here?" and just after I had that question in my mind his sweet face appeared. Hwall was my original bias with Jacob and Haknyeon being my duo biases currently. Kevin and Changmin are my wreckers. But I always say that Juyeon is an everybody wrecker.
