Both are defo on the same level in terms of marketing and building their merch as a clothing line. Nelk just has the advantage of their primary audience being North Americans which obviously is an overall bigger demographic than the UK. Pretty sure Jay has mentioned he wanted to collab with them as well when they did their sending DM to 100 Celebrities.

Sam supreme are quite unique though, their designs are replicated by every brand and their mother 🤣 I just don’t see anything in the childish brand to make it unique enough to get enough traction to take off really
@@GuitarJack97 the reason supreme are unique is through their marketing tho, I’m not saying jays plan of 1bn is realistic, but their brand value is high due to their online presence and now it’s expanding beyond UA-cam sales, and the lads clearly have the business brains behind it to promote and create hype, look at the cementing a head in microwave vid, they were on BBC promoting vids and had a merch drop the next day when the hype was big

Work out how much it is to produce one hoddie, and sell it, they are probably making £5-10 on a hoodie!! Yet they are limiting that to 500 hoodies say, thats only £5k-£10k per hoodie profit!! Now you've gotta sell alot of hoodies to make £100mil in 2 years!! Its just not fesible to make that much money the way they are!! I bet they make more per year of as revenue than merch per year!! Xx
@@rachelgreenwood7047 brand value isn’t net/gross profit tho- their brand may well reach a value of 100m due to the exclusivity and the possibilities it could go down which the lads mention, even if their yearly profits aren’t that huge

my first drop was the theme park drop. I couldn’t afford the childish chunks drop but I’ve got the race car drop and I’m waiting on the turbo drop to arrive. childish really is my favourite brand. eventually I’d love to get my hands on all the hoodies, at least as far back as the checkerboard hoodie. the quality of the hoodies I have are insane, yeah I’m dropping £60 - £80 each time but you know you’re wearing that price. my thrasher hoodie was I think £60 idk but it may as well be a primark hoodie. it doesn’t feel expensive but childish does. I get so nervous but so excited on launch day and I never want that feeling to go away, no other clothing brand compares
