In a match like this, the final scoring is the less important. The last France try worths more than some other entire games. Simply is rugby in pure state. The soul of the game perfectly performed.
Every French fan has known 10 nightmarish years where such a defeat was quite common...and if we have today a magnificent team that fills us with joy, we do not forget that the wheel turns. That's why, beyond the historical rivalry between England and France, I feel sad for our best enemies. The important thing is to come back, stronger!

I’m from NZ and I’m a die hard all black fan till I die but if there’s a team that deserves to win a World Cup it’s France they have made so many WC finals but always fall short they always switch gears when it come the WC this time they’re going in to the WC on a high.. man I can’t wait our All Blacks ain’t the same but they’re still a decent squad and for the first time in decades they aren’t going in as the favourites which puts the pressure off us good luck this year France loving the style of rugby you’re playing lately

I’d like to share my experience in the stadium. One English man singing La Marseillaise with me before the game. Then at the end of the game, surrounded by Brits, they all shook my hand with respect.
We are known to hate each other, but at the end we love and respect each other. Without England, six nations would not be the same.

I lived in the UK for 30 years and I've never ever felt disrespect from the British fans.
I've had some amazing times watching 6 Nations games in pubs, surrounded by Welsh Irish Scots and English people, we had barrels of fun as well as a few drinks too.
England didn't have a good day today but will get back to business in due time.

As an Englishman, bravo France. You put us to the sword and rightly so. France world class and look forward to watching you in WC. We were clueless for most parts of the game it was embarrassing. But…it was a much needed lesson for our young players, they needed a thrashing like this in my opinion to show them where they truly are. I think and hope we will come out fighting after this game.
In the rugby ocean, sometimes we are at the top of the wave, and then in the bottom... it's always moving.

France are playing awesome rugby at the moment. They are going to be so very very hard to beat at home at the world cup. They are playing just like the AB's did leading into the 2015 tournament From an AB's supporter.

They're not really, England are awful and they couldn't beat Ireland.
In the first 20 seconds I was shocked at the skill of the # 4, and then he shows up again and again in the highlights - easily as impressive as a young Brodie Retallick. The french pack are big, brutal, and full of skill. When they play with continuity they look to be the best team in the world. Dupont is the key.
Dupont is great but there are multiple keys imo. Dupont, Danty and Aldritt all stand out to me.

Le fait qu'il n'est pas fait comme d'habitude prendre de l'avance et gérer ensuite on a déjà mis des cartons a l'Angleterre en première mi-temps et après on les laissaient revenir du coup ça faisait défaite ou victoire un peu étriquée qui ne reflétait pas le match ... La c'est net ils n'ont rien lâché continuer à attaquer et a s'arracher en défense alors que t'es a +30 a 15 mins de la fin ... Ouais beau mental, la défaite en Irlande a été dure à avaler ! Ils n'étaient pas venus pour prendre le thé aujourd'hui !

C'est une victoire historique chez eux, sous la pluie, on peut être heureux mais pas se rabaisser à les humilier comme eux ils ont l'habitude de faire. Hier, ils ont été surpris et dépassés d'entrée. A croire qu'ils n'ont oas pris le match au sérieux et ils l'ont payé très cher! Cette équipe anglaise n'est pas à jeter comme le stipulent beaucoup de journaux anglais. Le début de 2ieme mi-temps le démontre. On a su imposé notre jeu et ils n'ont pas réussi à s'y adapter.

I grew up with this imperative need to dominate the English, and I've been waiting so much for this victory at Twickenham, God knows we've often been crushed, I shed tears of rage when I was a kid...

As an Australian it was fantastic to see France playing such positive rugby ... always looking to do something and constantly changing the point of attack. The only was to stop them is to do what Ireland did and suffocate them from the start. If you let them get going then this is exactly the kind of thing that can happen. As for England I am a long suffering Wobblies supporter so I feel a little sympathy but I would be lying if I did not admit to a little giggle watching them get put to the sword yesterday. International sport is a cruel mistress at times. England MUST respond against Ireland ... winning may be a bridge too far but respect must start to be earned. On a positive note for England I don't think any team could have gone with France yesterday ... the forwards were simply irresistible. Ireland and France then daylight for me ... South Africa and the All Blacks never to be underestimated then you can raffle the rest.
It's not that England was all bad, but that France was tremendous. Just unbeatable on the day and deservedly so.

France literally took England apart in fairness they were simply outstanding, and I can't say the French backs were just amazing because the whole French team were pure great to watch, IRELAND beat France and i believe IRELAND and France deserve their rankings, great 6 nations and great win for Wales earlier today, I hope IRELAND can beat a very strong Scottish team and then we play England who are always a dangerous team to play against, 👍💯🙏☘

That first try within 2 minutes really set the tone for that game and England couldn't seem to put it behind them. Not sure why we couldn't, but France certainly outplayed us. Hard to admit as a proud English supporter. Even if England don't get far in this upcoming world-cup watching Ireland and France through the tournament as a big fan of the sport will put on some entertaining performances.

I kind of miss the days already where you never knew what French team would turn up. They'd either be awful and self destruct, or be sublime and make you wonder "where did that come from" I guess we know what kind of French team we have now though. As a Brit I love to see the French lose 🙂, but as a person I have nothing but the deepest respect and adoration for both the country and its players. Absolutely magnificent, and impossible not to love. Ultimately we're all winners because we're on for a phenomenal world cup. France, Ireland and i'm even going to say Scotland, are going to be very very difficult to beat. At least as an Englishman i can enjoy the world cup with zero expectation of my own national team. That might be quite a liberating way to watch a world cup tournament. In the meantime I bow to the French.
