Mr Hopp's Playhouse has become a bit of an overnight sensation! A free, fun, scary, indie horror game packed with easter eggs secrets, and 3 different endings? What's not to like!!
I am returning to this video in the wake of the upcoming Mr Hopp's Playhouse 2, slightly tweaking it and moving it over to this channel instead.

With secrets like Freddy from FNAF, Pennywise, Doomguy, and Slenderman, there really is a lot of cool stuff going on here! I am looking forward to what comes next!

The safe Easter egg is referencing the bite of 87

1987 is refering to arguably one of the most intriguing moments in FNAF. It started with a quick reference in the first FNAF and it continued to gain fame from there on.
Yea scott started a war by doing that and to let ya know the bite of the crying child is the bite of 83 reply if you want proof
The crying child can't be the 87 victim because in fnaf 1 phone guy heavily implied that the 87 victim survived and obviously the crying child really didn't survive

Just wanted to elaborate on this, the Golden Freddy Easter egg in Mr Hopp's is a reference to an Easter egg from the first FNAF game.
(Warning: Infodump)
For the people who don't know, in the first game there's an unlockable level/night/whatever-you-want-to-call-it called Night 7/Custom Night, where you can mess with the AI of each of the four (4) animatronics individually, from Zero(0), aka "so easy you could sleep through it" to Twenty(20), aka "WHAT THE HELL, WHY DID I THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!?"
Here's where the Easter egg comes in; if you set it to 1-9-8-7 (in reference to The Bite of 87, an incident that is mentioned in the first night) you get jumpscared by Golden Freddy, who may or may not of had something to do with said incident.
The Mr. Hopp's Easter egg works pretty much the same, from inputting the same number in the same sorta input, to Golden Freddy popping up, and even the scream.
The biggest difference I can see is that Golden Freddy isn't using his design from the first game, but the second, aka, his "Withered" design, and his face doesn't take up the entirety of the screen at any point.
9:50 I also questioned why Mark initially answered to Ruby and not her parents, but I think a quick explanation is that Ruby probably said hello when answering, and Mark heard that it was her that answered.
Right at the "save your family" part I got an ad for "Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway" which opens up with a white rabbit running around laughing with a fuckton of candy in his mouth

The Golden Freddy easter egg is a reference to "The Bite of 87'", which is a big story event in the fnaf series.
Wrong the bite of 83 and what is my proof? In fnaf 4 if you keep staring at the tv it starts playing an ad of fredbear's and in the ad it says "since 1983" and the bite of 87 does exist it just doesn't have any lore purposes the bite of 87 is just a big meme which made people believe it

I think the “firestarter” ending is a reference to the Stephen King novel of the same name. It is about a young girl who can create fire with her mind.
Hmm. I could just be a coincidence, as it's a logical title for that ending. But it would make a lot of sense. Cool suggestion!

I have a theory on why Esther gave Mr. Hopp to Ruby and that was because Mr. Hopp was controlling Esther. Maybe the reason Esther was staring at the wall in the 1st tape was because she was seeing Mr. Hopp staring at her. In the 2nd tape Esther didn't recognize the mom and dad, that's because she was so scared of seeing Mr. Hopp again that she forgot what their faces looks like. In the 3rd tape the neighbours heard her screaming and that was because Mr. Hopp was terrorizing Esther and that reminded her of the memory and trauma she had to endure when she was a kid. In the 4th tape we found out that Esther gave Mr. Hopp to Ruby, by then Mr. Hopp has probably gotten full control of Esther after terrorizing her a bunch and told her to give the doll to Ruby. In the 5th tape we found out that Esther had died in her sleep, and the reason to that might be that Mr. Hopp doesn't have any used for her anymore now that he's with Ruby and just straight up killed her. In the 6th tape we see that Ruby started defending herself from Mr. Hopp with the slingshot and that's because after Esther passed away, Mr. Hopp starts to also terrorize Ruby the same way he did with Esther. And in 16:01 we see Esther getting grabbed by Mr. Hopp and maybe that's his way of showing to Ruby and the player that Esther was under his control this whole time. And maybe that room the eyeballs kinda symbolizes the fear we used to have as a kid of our doll watching us while we sleep or while we're not looking.
Edit: Just saw one of the ending from 'Mr Hopp's Playhouse 2' and it kinda confirm that Esther was controlled to give Ruby the doll but instead of Mr. Hopp it was The Entity so i guess i'm kinda right?
This is canon for the bad ending of Mr hopp's playhouse two, where Esther forgets about Mr hopp's torture. It's a good theory though
Perhaps Esther gave ruby the doll because she was chosen. Maybe she thought she could end Mr hopps.

@@St4rG4cha Not actually, both endings are really the same for Esther (Only difference is her friends survived and that is canon if we see the "Who's That?" easter egg). In the ending w/out the medallion everyone dies and Esther will be vulnerable to Mr. Hopp in any moment. In the true ending Esther defeats the Entity and lives a peaceful life, but, since she had the medallion with her after all these years, Mr. Hopp manifests behind her. The reason of why the medallion ending is canon is because Mr. Bo and Mr. Stripes appear here and are (apparently) the ones who attacked Mark.
There's an other theory that maybe proves that your theory is right:
At the bad ending in Mr Hopps Playhouse 2 we can hear Esther saying (after she saw Mr Hopp in the ground): "Silly rabbit! You'll catch a cold just sitting there!) Maybe that means that The Entity or Mr Hopp took control of her and make her act like she didn't remember anything. At the Good Ending Mr Hopp would have took control of her so she won't tell anyone what happened. I've also read a theory that The Entity is s@tan himself (we can also read it in one of these papers), trying to k!ll Esther. So The Entity is also Dee. That's why she said about the whispering and she also sent us to take the things for the ritual, with a hope she'll k!ll Esther.We can also she Dee at "Hide and Seek" in the children's room, talking to Billy. Maybe she managed to take control of him so we can go to this part of the house that children aren't allowed to go there, hoping she'll get us into trouble.
At the Loop, we can see a girl(this black girl with white eyes)and a marton. One day she saw The Entity and he gave her a necklace with the six medallions. The girl started wearing it and then The Entity was able to take control of her. After that she k!lled the marton.We can see her saying:"She deserved it".After that she burnt on the fire (these years women could die at this way).
Also in the good Ending , Molly ask "By the way, where did you get that necklace?" Wassup with the necklace?: Mr Hopp didn't forget what happened. He maybe wanted us to suffer so after some days, months, weeks or even years, he started taking control of us, cuz we have the necklace.
Is this Theory right?
Edit:I heard there will be a Mr Hopps Playhouse 3. Maybe we will find out what happened to Ruby's parents (Jenna and David).

Id say the spider references the game it was inspired by, as referencing the same franchise twice is unlikely as it has referenced others only once, besides itself which makes sense.

Remember when people would get murderously angry about jumpscare lists and try to tell people who don't like jumpscares that they weren't allowed to watch gaming youtubers?
I have a vague recollection of one of the tapes mentioning that Esther had memory problems when she got sick. I don't know if that's right because I don't think it was mentioned in any of the tapes, but maybe Esther forgot her past with the original doll, but the memory/the design of the doll and recreated it for Ruby without realizing that it was an evil/possessed/haunted(???) thing

1987 Easter Egg: This is a reference from FNaF. The start of FNaF’s time starts at 1883, when children start to go missing in a pizzeria. These missing children were killed and stuffed into animatronics. After they were killed and stuffed, they could possess the animatronic they were trapped in. In 1987 ( when you play as the nightgaurd ) they start to move and try to kill you, kinda like Mr Hopps dose, because you look like their killer. And in 1987, the animatronics were broken down and used for another pizzeria, (the reason why Golden Freddy looks worn out) but this soul of the body stuffed inside Golden Freddy or known as “The One You Should Not Have Killed” is still haunting his killer. (Honestly Mr Hopps looks like Glitchtrap, which is probably why Golden Freddy is here.)
*Fun Fact: In Mr. Hopp’s Playhouse 1, after collecting 4 cassette tapes and going back to Ruby’s bedroom, you can briefly see Mr. Stripes and Ms. Bo in the window.*

You can shoot before you find mr hopps. It was hard to do bıt it was a thing in the game. When i shoot a few times in the room the eye balls will disappear and game is crashed.

When i heard the doom music i realized there were demons everywhere and i had the shotgun..

Ok so to make things more clear with the fnaf Easter egg that is indeed Golden Freddy. I know this because of the games and experience with the sound and the face jump-scare. While all of Fnaf has different jump scares, Golden Freddys only has the head showing.
I said this in the last one but 1987 is a reference to the FNAF game franchise, as in “The Bite of 87”. That was when the crying child got bit by the Golden Freddy animatronic.

Easter and rabbits does make sense as easter is a holiday about fertility and not the resurrection of anyone.
I think that golden freddy egg was put exactly at the safe combination due to an easter egg in the original five nights (that was added in a patch) where if you put in "1987" on the custom night menu you'd get a jumpscare from Golden Freddy. As for the date 1987 matching Five Nights.... Just know it's an important year in that series

Okay, seriously, I may be crazy, but I could SWEAR in an earlier version of the game there was a Sonic.exe easter egg.
You'd go up to the attic at some point, go to the end of the room and back, and during the trip back Sonic.exe appears in front of you for a split second and vanishes.

When you get all of the things in Mr hoops 2 you can see hoops in the back and then she give it to her and is pretty much that Mr hoops got to her
I have a theory why Esther gave Ruby the doll:
In the true ending of Mr Hopp's Playhouse 2, since there was a picture frame that showed Esther, Molly, and Isaac being friends, and now you can see the current Esther, she looks old. Since Mr Hopps was behind Esther, Esther died, but in the last image, you could see Esther giving Ruby Mr Hopp, and you can see that Esther didn't die from Mr Hopp, how did she survive, until we see the Entity behind Esther, so here's my idea. Esther could probably be possessed, and when she passed out in the hospital, maybe it was because the Entity decided to kill Esther, making it worth his time to find a new target, Ruby.
