how hot will it get during the extraction? asking it because I'm curious about the heat retention with the metal inside the machine. Is is possible to extract light roast with the machine?
@György Csorba - Hi there. It will always be good to do a pre-heat by pouring hot water into the water chamber before actual brewing so that your desired water temperature is well maintained. The STARESSO SP-300 Mirage espresso maker is able to extract well for dark, medium & light roasted coffee beans. Cheers!

Do note that the coffee grounds used must be slightly coarser than espresso fine to prevent damage to the espresso maker. Also, good to know that we are having the latest upgraded version of the SP-300. Cheers!

Have you tried using without the pressure regulator? can you use it bottomless?
