The lady on the far left is performing a very pure Harusuke-ha MJER. In fact, her style looks a lot like Atsumi Hatakenaka-sensei. She performs Iwanami just like Hatakenaka and Yamamoto Harusuke; i.e, without the huge step backward with the left foot, and the step forward into the tsuki. Even her noto looks a lot like Hatakena-sensei. Given that there are likely no more than a few people alive who teach this rather direct version of Harusuke-ha, I bet my money this lady is one of Hatakenaka-sensei's students.
No problem, there are plenty more to come. Re Chris's video, I missed both his embu and his grading (I had a day of temples instead of watching the eighth dan gradings!), so that wasn't my video. I wouldn't mind a look at it though, so if it turns up again please remember to post it as a response :)
Hello, some sorry for my delay!....yes im just started practise Iaido for 2 lessons... become addicted with drawing the sword with aikido at first. Im train at Harlingen dojo, as well with ZNKR style..my sensei is; Herman veltman. 6 dan holder!....greetings..goodluck with your practise....!
***** I do not know Veltman sensei, though I have trained with René van Amersfoort sensei many times, and with the Jikiden and Shinkage ryu groups in the Netherlands. Hopefully I will be at the Ishido Cup in January 2014, so I may see you there!
maybe..but im just started..and im not long enough good..so im must train more and more oftend...!...so im not ready for ishido cup yet.im still practise with bokken!...
