Dubb - I have an SJ50 and 40, and what superlative engines they truly are! However, until now I had been setting the LSN my usual way, instead of understanding how it is more of a mid range setting than bottom end. So I took the SJ50 out on the test stand on the side deck this weekend, and went through the procedure as you show it - well what do you know, it works perfectly..
My SJ50 is what, maybe 15 years old now, and has quite a few flights on it. It pulled an MA 10-6 at 17,300 and idled steadily at 2300-2350, although I would not call that flight idle. I unclamped it, went inside and downstairs to the workshop. By the time I got down there, I could feel the TDC pinch again.
The .40 was a recent acquisition from a local club member, it was bolted to the front of a Q500 where it had seen many races, and had sat dormant for years. I cleaned it up on the outside and flushed it with mineral spirits, gave it the once over eyeball and oiled it up - oh look, it's still snug at TDC. So I clamped it to the test stand, and after 2-3 flips later it was running and happily showed 16,390 on an MA 10-6 in minus 15 degree weather and 10% fuel.
Show me any other RC "sport" engine with the same handling and manners, that can do what these things can do. Anyone that appreciates engines will be amazed and delighted the first time they get their hands on any of your line-up.

Better to email- I don't think he hangs around answering questions on UA-cam, it's posted for instructional purposes.
