True, it's much at all. I think there was nothing wrong with the toilet, they just didn't want it getting soiled too early in such a long journey. 😂 Fortunately the further west we went, the more we stopped at places with free toilets. 👍😊
Cautionary Tale: I rode with Flixbus and had my life ruined On Sep 25, 20:30, I boarded on the Flixbus at the Berlin Central Bus Station bound for Zurich Central Bus station. In addition to my checked-in luggage, I have one small waistbag/fannypack that I wear on my body during the journey, which holds all the valuables including passport, wallet with 130 euros in cash, all credit cards etc. When the bus arrived at the destination, I got off to retrieve my suitcase but left my waist bag (yellow and green in color, Eastpark brand) on my seat. On arriving at the terminal stop Zurich, I walked away from the bus to take the tram nearby. About 500 meters away, I realized I’d left my waist bag on my seat. I returned immediately, the bag was gone. The bus was already loading new passengers for a new trip since it arrived 2 hours late according to the schedule. I asked the new driver, he didn’t speak English and simply did not care. The 2 drivers from Berlin were off duty and went to sleep, he told me. Since this bus arrived in Zurich late, it was already filling up with passengers for the next planned trip to Stuttgart. There were a few passengers on board and I asked them if they saw anything, they told me no. Since my seat was at the mid-bus entrance by the partition board, it’s directly under the surveillance camera. I believe by reviewing the footage we can find out what happened. To this day, my legitimate request has not been answered. I called the service center of Flixbus in Germany right away and told them the whole incident, believing that in this mostly timely manner the bag can be found easily found without too much trouble. How wrong I was! The simple, automated line designed to pawn off passengers which the guy on the line, in his most indifferent tone, must have repeated a thousand times before goes, and I quote: submit the loss&found form! My 5 day trip to Zurich was naturally ruined. I made an official police report in Zurich with which I later returned to Germany as a kind of explanation for not having an ID when passing the border control. I specially mentioned the surveillance camera which could be used to discover the whereabouts of my bag. 5 days later I embarked on my return trip with Flixbus. It was a red-eye ride and I had to change midway for a train in Heidelberg. Due to the enormous stress and emotional fatigue endured thanks to the ruined trip, I left my suitcase uncollected when I got off at my stop. I soon realized the mistake minutes after the bus drove off and immediately called Flixbus help center, the only advice they provided was ‘to ask someone you know to pick it up for you along the stops the bus will make on this trip’. I do not know anyone in those cities, to which he suggested to submit a loss and found form via their website and wait for the news, cause that’s the best they can do, naturally. I came back to Berlin totally devastated. I’d submitted loss and found requests for both of my lost properties to Flixbus not only once, but three times in total, and each time they came back with the automated message: we’re sorry, but we could not find your belonging. I’d paid a personal visit to their company, and the staff there, clearly underpaid and overworked, said there’s nothing they could do. Nothing, not even a word of apology. The course of my life in Germany flipped 180 after the unfortunate ride with Flixbus. 2 months later, I had to leave the country for good since some documents I had was irreplaceable. I blame myself for the thrift, for having wanted to save 60 euros and made the poor choice, for not having done my homework properly beforehand. The ill reputation of Flixbus as an irresponsible, bloodthirsty company can be revealed a simple google search away, enough to discourage any penny pinchers to think twice before travelling the perilous road with them.
We are sorry to hear of your terrible experiences. I had read similar reviews whereby people had bags go missing from the luggage hold, or the bus drove off without them, and they had no joy with getting them back & very little support from the Flixbus team. We still decided to buy the Flixbus Interflix Pass and keep a close eye on our possessions. We were pleasantly surprised with the efficiency of our drivers and how well 2 of the drivers spoke English. We will be making videos of all our bus journeys so will certainly share if anything goes wrong... the way I included the clip of our angry fellow passenger who had issues with his paid seat reservation, and I mentioned maybe it's best to not reserve a seat. We video things as we experience them - we endeavour to be positive but will always show the honest situation.
@F. Q. I agree. My boyfriend had his wallet and passport stolen on the metro in Paris because he put it in his pocket in obvious sight (after I told him not to put it there lol). A guy took it from his pocket without him realizing it but that's not the metro's fault. It's my boyfriend's stupid fault for leaving it in plain sight. We had to go to the embassy to get a new one which was a pain but we didn't call the metro company blaming them for him having lost it
Frugal Travellers I was on a 25 hour journey in Australia on the greyhound… I actually quite liked it. I’m from the uk and thinking of backpacking Europe next summer on Flixbus
@Amy I (Mandy) took a bus from Sydney to Perth once... 2 nights on the bus and we went through some incredible landscapes. I hope you have a wonderful time travelling on Flixbus around Europe next year. I'd keep the 5 Interflix vouchers for the more expensive journeys - anything under €20 we'd buy seperately. And apologies for the delay in replying - we've just discovered a load of comments that had been hidden, which makes us feel terrible as we try to reply as soon as possible!
I did the Flixbus route between Paris and London back on 1st February (Britain's first day out of the EU). I paid £4.00 to reserve a front seat (which was classified as a premium seat and managed to get both to myself. The two front seats on the opposite side to me were shown as unavailable on the seating plan when I booked and it turned out they were being used to store the driver's belongings. The back row was also shown as unavailable but there was nobody actually sitting there on my trip. Also upon boarding in Paris the driver directed passengers on where to sit based on what the seat number on their ticket showed. Had a really enjoyable journey with a friendly driver and friendly passengers. We crossed the channel using the tunnel rather than the ferry and as we approached the UK the driver played "What a wonderful world" on his phone. Perfect welcome to an Independent UK.
Sounds like a great trip. Those front seats are always good to get an excellent view out of the front windscreen. I'd certainly recommend that for a long trip. We were overall very impressed with Flixbus and will be using them a lot on our European travels! 👍
@@FrugalTravellers I agree with you about the front seats being excellent for views. The back row seats all seemed to be sold out on the Flixbus trips I booked on presumably because they offer more comfort particularly on overnight trips. I had booked on a Flixbus for my outward journey to Paris and had reserved a front seat but I arrived at London Victoria several hours early and re booked onto a Eurolines with no reserved sests where I ended up sitting on the back row.
Sorry for the delay in replying. Only just saw your post. On the whole I preferred Flixbus due to the option to reserve specific seats, the fact the driver was really pleasant and the fact there was Wifi and charging on board the coach. Also the Flixbus journey was slightly shorter due to the fact it went direct between Paris and Calais whereas the Eurolines stopped at Charles De Gaulle Airport. In addition the Flixbus service departed nearer to where I was staying in Paris whereas the Eurolines journey on the way there took me to a different location and I then had to do a journey on the Metro.
@@Meanmanmartin2007 That's good to know. We have been impressed with Flixbus as a whole and will keep using them, once we can start travelling again! 😔

@@knuffelbeertje33 That's crazy!!!!! We've just checked the app and yes, that journey is now €119 BUT the Interflix 5 Journey Pass is still €99!!!!!! It'll be because the cost of the Channel Tunnel and the ferry have doubled while flights to the UK have been greatly reduced!
@@FrugalTravellers but still with the flix pass it's so much cheaper unbelievable
I know!!!! It's brilliant! Lee's just gutted that we didn't buy a pass before April 19th as it would have been valid for a year!
Nice service. I am from india here is no any flixbus service ....here is Apsara Travels
Excellent. When we were in India in 1996 we loved travelling around by train. Hopefully we can return and see more of your amazing country!
Tbh i mean 1 Romanian leu is what 17 pence they probably just think people with pay it tbh and not sort out the toilet. I’ve had toilets broken for entire journeys before. Once from Leeds in West Yorkshire to London with NO stops which wasn’t particularly comfortable hahah
True, it's much at all. I think there was nothing wrong with the toilet, they just didn't want it getting soiled too early in such a long journey. 😂
Fortunately the further west we went, the more we stopped at places with free toilets. 👍😊
Cautionary Tale: I rode with Flixbus and had my life ruined
On Sep 25, 20:30, I boarded on the Flixbus at the Berlin Central Bus Station bound for Zurich Central Bus station.
@J. D. oh yeah u rthe travel guru, that show give u the right to sit on ur stool and pass judgements on others? plz , gimme a break.
@J. D. wheres my mistake pray tell? btw, how much is Flixbus paying u to troll victims?
@F. Q. We had to go to the embassy to get a new one which was a pain but we didn't call the metro company blaming them for him having lost it
seems like this line doesnt exist anymore...
If you check the app, you'll see that route still exists, just with 1 transfer and it's more expensive. ~ Mandy
Paying a leu to the loo 🤣
Hahahha... I'd tried to give a lira in lieu but to no avail 😂
46 HRS on a bus is my idea of torture.
Hahahha... we had such a great time. The journey from London to Budapest was 28 hours and it felt too short 😁
@@Meanmanmartin2007 Which do you prefer? Eurolines or Flixbus ?
haha a very log time ago the kgb in eastern europe used homeless like the bulgarian guy in the film as camouflage....but i got the unique chance to ask the russians wether they do......and the answer was.....no since 10-15 years the tea seller or homeless is not used any more as camouflage...soo poor real homeless passenger;)....very nice film.....
It must have been really crazy back in the days of the KGB. Never knowing who you could trust. Never knowing who is watching you but knowing that someone was watching you. 👀👀
Just curious as to how many other passengers take this sort of Bus journey from Bucharest to London. I would never dare to do such long bus journeys .
I hope you have made videos of Coventry. Have you been to Shakespeare's home town Stratford upon Avon, which isn't too far from Coventry? A great location to make a video.
There weren't any other backpackers on this coach from Bucharest to London - it'll be interesting to see if there are any when we go from London to Budapest 😀
We haven't taken any videos in Coventry! I think it's because we're back in Lee's hometown and having a break from travelling, so the cameras have been put away! It's also quite grey and miserable at the moment - we'll definitely get a load of footage when we're back in April/May, especially as my mum & her partner will be over from NZ so we'll be tourists together 😀 I love Stratford upon Avon and Kenilworth... there are so many pretty towns and villages in Warwickshire.
You can fly the route in 3 hours for
We love a challenge, and have plenty of time as are travelling indefinitely... which is why we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of spending 46 hours on a bus across Europe.
@J. D. Totally! We are are starting to lean towards overland travel over flying much more these days for that reason, and many more. It will be interesting to see if travel trends change post COVID-19 if many budget airlines end up folding.
samuel Tao Some people hate flying. My worst nightmare
Flixbus is stealing from people and you would think that I am someone who is mad at flixbus which is true haha but I have proofs and I am not the only one do your research you will a lot of people going through the same situation what surprise me is that no is doing anything they will pretend that are trying to help you but n
As you can see from our many Flixbus videos, we have never had an issue with them.
Plane is cheaper
True. You can fly for as little as €9 but we wanted the bus adventure... And it sure was an adventure! 😊
Cheaper, faster, more comfortable and convenient... but where's the fun in that? 😂😀😃 We've booked our tickets from London to Budapest for the return trip to Eastern Europe... only a 36 hour journey this time 😃😄
