An interesting story about this organ, when it was owned by Jean Staelens in Belgium he actually had it installed in the front room of his flat!, as you can imagine the other tenants complained and he was taken to court but the judge agreed he could play it for so many hours each day!, imagine what that must have sounded like as this organ is very loud!, imported into England by the late Alf Gardner of Bath then later went to the Paul Corin museum in Cornwall, most of the music was arranged by Arthur Prinsen but there are several older books too, the scale is just the basic 89 key scale with extra registers, restored a few years ago by Kevin Meayers and still with the family of the late Phil Ives, i know this organ very well as it attended rallies round here for many years.

That's quite some story! I imagine he probably played it at a certain time of day... All the neighbours were like "oh dear, here he goes again with his bloody organ!" lol!

This brings back fond memories of seeing this organ at the Bedford steam rallies when held at Old Warden. It attended each year from 2003-07. It was always Joan Ives who was at the key frame, and she was one of many people who encouraged my interest in mechanical organs in my early years. She loved this organ and the other instruments in their collection. It was at one of the Bedford appearances where I bought the three cassettes issued of which these tracks belong to one.
Although most of these tracks are Prinsen arrangements, I think the one you have named as Feestpotpourri maybe the hand of another arranger as it sounds to me a different style. From memory the cassette had this called “Varia”.

A really great sounding organ. Makes you wonder how the 100 key chromatic limonaires would have sounded.
Some great photos I’ve never seen before too. If only there was some from around back!

Yes, but hasn't been out since the owner passed away a few years ago, it's still with his family.
