I feel like you and I have a similar mind for supsension only we are doing it in reverse lol. I have my heart set on these coilovers, hopefully I will be able to purchase and install next summer. Very informative video as always!
@@chrxsjxhn unfortunately these cars require a lot of changed parts to get them to really feel like a sports car. Sure beats the price of a real 1M though!

Do you have any other upgrades like a swaybar? I was thinking going a bit softer, asking TC Kline to set up their Koni kit for street / HPDE with an upgraded front swaybar.
I see your sentiment, but I think that could be debated either way. I don’t think you should cheap out on suspension components whatsoever, so for me and my spectrum of coilover options, $1000ish dollars is the bottom of my chart. That leaves some good options like bilsteins, BCs, STs, etc. I would confidently argue that compared to something like KW V3s or Ohlin’s R&T, these are a budget coilover. What would you call a budget coilover instead?
@@Dutch79 Maybe I’m thinking of these as being budget “adjustable” coilovers. Since really the only cheaper option you have when it comes to adjustable damping would be BCs at $1200
In Europe for a BMW we have several (height) adjustable coilover options from €300-€800, but I don't think that does a performance BMW much justice. I mean, it should deserve a set of at least €1000,-.

Im about to order the st xta for my 335i coupe, however in the pictures they don't show any nuts that come with the kit, did you have to get anything extra with the box to install these ?
I did order some mounting hardware for the rear. The top nut, the upper bushings, and the lower mount and nut. I reused the nuts for the front top hats
@JasonJoyrides so you ordered the bushings for the rear? I have those on order as well. So you re used all hardware that came off the front to install the front struts?
@ yes. Some people say not to reuse the hardware. Some people say you can use it a couple times. Some people never ever replace them after a dozen uses. I decided to use it again this time and refresh all the hardware later when I do control arms.

I also went with the ST X variant for my E92, without the damping adjustment, and I am incredibly happy with them. Didn't expect them to be so good

Only modification to my exhaust is a catless downpipe. Doesn't take much to get a great sound out of these N55s
@ fuck yeah it sounds badass. I also have the N55 with catless down pipes but it t doesn’t sound as nice
