I believe Tank is trying to find a balance of staying with the current trendy sound & the sound he is known for. But, this album is far less diverse from his previous efforts. Unfortunately, my generation doesn't really appreciate ballads; we (meaning they, not me lol) want bangers. That's why you hear alot of R&B veterans doing this sound.

Whatever it is it's horrible. He's too talented to be singing over trap beats like this. Fuck trying to be trendy. Make quality R&B.
