The solar panel should be fine when you bolt it down good luck with that. I want one but i need to rewire everything first. I just hope all the overtime goes away so I can find the time.
Send it back. It may have micro fractures in the cells and they will take time to show up. Micro fractures in solar cell look like snail trails and my take up to 3 years to appear.
