    My goodness, this video is so slanted and bias. I remember how annoying those hearings'were, but, at the end of the day it isn't smart for anyone to lie to the "Grand Jury". I might also add, he lost his license to practice.

    • @macvena

      All true. The problem is that the Republicans didn't have anything of value on Clinton. He shouldn't have been hung out to dry over getting some tail. This was a huge strategic error for them. Clinton shouldn't have lied. He should have told them to go fuck themselves on who he's screwing. It wasn't a crime, and it wasn't worth damaging the office of the President just to embarrass an incumbent. It was purely a political attack. The impeachment process wasn't created to screw with political opponents. It's designed to protect the republic from a tyrant. Bill should have known better than to lie, and encourage others to lie. Gingrich is a very smart man as well. He overplayed his hand. He risked damaging the country to hamstring an opponent. Look at where we are now. It's all out political war, because the elites keep tapping into their emotions rather than their sense.

    The impeachment worked! Not to be a technocrat but impeachment is just being charged with the crime in a sense. It was the trial which led to the acquittal. The house impeaches the President, the Senate holds the trial. And I agree perjury is a big no no, but he should of never had to face the civil lawsuit while in office. Thanks for the smart comment!

      President Clinton was being sued by Paula Jones for sexual harassment. Paula Jones was a staffer for President Clinton when he was Governor of Arkansas. The lawyers for Ms. Jones were trying to establish that President Clinton had a pattern of having sexual relationships with people who worked for him. So they asked President Clinton, under oath, if he had had an affair with Ms. Lewinsky. President Clinton lied about it. Personally, I don't think it rose to the level of an offense for which he should have been impeached, but it was no small matter, either.

    i think one problem many people might have with the idea of saying clinton was impeached is that it seems to imply that he was thrown out of office. he was impeached, but the impeachment failed. although i would have supported clinton had i been old enough to vote at the time, i do think his perjury bordered on being a truly impeachable offense, but i also think that someone has a right to their personal life without it effecting their ability to do their job.

    ok so let's say bill tells the truth when asked first time, maybe it's wouldn't ha e taken so damn long, and the charges would have been baseless be cause he and others would not have had to lie. hence no impeachment hearings and his eye would have been on the ball. also it would have saved the country millions of dollars spent during investigation.

    With any future luck, future presidents will not have to testify in civil lawsuits until after their tenure to incidents not involving their activities in the Presidency. And there is a difference between lying about national security and a hummer. Also hearing a conservative so concerned about feminism makes me chuck a little bit. Do you really think every president should have a constant independent investigation turning over every rock? Im not sure thats best for the republic, dem or rep.

    We need bi partisan oversight and any wrongdoing should be prosecuted. I think Benghazi has become a hit job, today we learned the emails were tampered w/ by the GOP, not good for transparency on their end. The AP Phone records could of been solved with a shield law which has been blocked by Congress. I think its a bureaucratic scandal an heads will roll, I highly doubt it was manufactured with political teeth by the White House. Never the less, lets investigate without judgement yet.

  • @joelwatson7133
    @joelwatson7133 9 років тому +7

    I usually like your videos, and you do a fair job of being impartial, but I'll say that this one was a little more biased than I'd like. Your comments *essentially* blaming SCOTUS and investigations into illegal/possible illegal acts by POTUS for 9/11 are off the mark. I know you clarified in the end that you weren't *necessarily* blaming those things for the acts of 9/11, but your implications were misplaced, in my opinion. A whole host of things were to blame for 9/11: Security miscues, lack of intel shared between agencies, our own actions in the 80s and 90s by both Republican and Democratic administrations, etc., but Whitewater and Lewinski-gate were not to blame. Otherwise, good job on your videos, and I wish more people understood what the Clinton impeachment was ACTUALLY about, and knew what the word impeachment even meant. Keep up the good work! :D

    an interesting video would be, "why Obama has not been impeached." some articles drafted against Nixon apply to Obama...

      Well Nixon was going to be impeached for phone tapping the Democratic Party's headquarters. Obama hasn't done anything that serious.

      +Will ackee that was not the only thing he was impeached for. Yeah, there are things Obama could have been impeached for; although "he" has done any break-ins or illegal tapping. I do think a strong case could have been made. I'm not saying it would have been successful.

      Obama has been a dictator . He has usurped our constitution on several occasions, I think thats much worse than what Nixon did
