I feel that dinosaurs that are similar to each other should be alowed to be in the same herd/pack/group (especially ceratopsids) because why would the dinosaurs care because safty in numbers. Ceratopsids are a great example of this because they tend to fill similar niches and likely would not be able to tell the differnce untill mating season or just not care if they do
It’s allowed now, but they can only defend their own spiecies if they get attacked. This is simply due to balance issues. Having a mega pack of mixed dinos where everyone could defend eachother would make it impossible for any carnivore to get a kill because they can’t hurt a dinosaur and wait for it to die from bleed. Bleed acts very diffrent than from The Isle where you can hit your target once and have the possibility to bleed it out with time. Here you would have to hit something up to 20+ times to be able to bleed it out completely as the bleed healing rate is generally very good, and unless you stack them up really quick, which is difficult even in a 1v1, it’s not really possible to bleed out something if it is defended by many others. But, you can noe move together with certain spieces, just not fight together.

You charging at that Predator may have a been a rule break, but it was realism. Ceratopsians we’re thought to be highly aggressive towards animals they deemed a threat, carnivores especially. They definitely would of charged first had a carnivore roared at them. They would be even more aggressive with a young one around. Any carnivore would of likely also thought twice about taking on any sort of ceratopsian, including T-Rex. A Triceratops could easily kill a T-Rex.

The mushroom buff that you get when drinking the spring water is a healing buff, also despite popular belief there is no headshot multiplier in the game. Only a damage reduction on the tail Edit: as I have been corrected in the comments I will edit the main comment to display correct information. Some dinosaurs do have headshot multipliers apparently. Also (I don't know if it's in the game yet or if its coming in the future) but the healing buff from hotsprings will be changed so that you get it by swimming in the water instead of drinking from it.
The second part isnt true. Some dinos just dont have the headshot multiplier (sarco and I dont remember which other). Saw someone test it some days ago
Love the video Beavers! It's nice to see you have fun and improve with this game. Your mechanics in fights are great, with some more exciting content rather than a walking simulator.
Sometimes I hate roleplay servers in any game… Rules can get ridiculous and it ruins the fun and immersion to have people whining about rulebreaking no matter what you do. Its decently probable that a herbivore would attack a carnivore for simply being nearby because they consider it a threat, specially aggressive species like ceratopsians.
Highkey lowkey think most the rules are dumb. Lacks a realism and creates a dynamic where herbs can only react. Reality is herbs tend to be territorial and if you approach young for any reason, its a threat.
Styracosaurus has been one of my favourite ceratopsian Would be fun to see how Beaver will play it in This video But what I will say is that I know I will enjoy it
Just so you know, be careful around Hunters Thicket or occasionally Big Quill Lake, on Islanders server those are popular rule breaking spots. Mostly a lot of babies 3rd partying like there’s no tommorow, but you can never be sure
13;45 Intrestingly enough, it seems that was just a Triceratops thing. All other Ceratopsians have huge holes in their frills making em more delicate. Hence why they where probably for display first defence second. Triceratops on the other hand, is the unique outlier here. Because its frill is just a solid slab of bone, as the "evolution arms race" between ceratopsians and tyrannosaurs lead to Trike and Rex there both eachothers perfect counterbalence. And we have evidence in bone marks from Trikes ramming eachother
Which server was this? So I know to avoid this. Herbis cannot attack first? Even if a carnivore calls (anything other than friendly call) and comes dangerously close? That is carnivore bias and a huge BS. This means the carnivore will almost always get the first bite in. If you are a carnivore and dont want to fight a specific herbivore, then just avoid it by giving it plenty of space to make your intentions clear? Why do carnivore players always feel the need to invade the personal space of herbivores, and then QQ when the herbivore attacks them?
^ THIS. There’s no point playing as a herbie in these games, all the rules always favor the cool looking things with teeth. The carnivore who’s 5 times bigger than you will walk right up to you and scream but if you take it as a threat they’ll start crying and pissing themselves.

The carnivore who’s 5 times bigger than you will walk right up to you and scream but if you take it as a threat they’ll start crying and pissing themselves.
i’m going to enjoy this video! i only watch gaming beaver videos for the isle and path of titans! Thank you Gaming beaver or these amazing videos! 4:51

In love in when Beaver plays as my favorite dinosaurs. Styracosaurus is one of my favorite ceratopsians, closely followed by Pachyrhinosaurus.
Great Video, i really enjoy watching your Videos. As a PoT Player myselfe i really like to see that People play smaller Dinos and not just the Big Apexes like Rex.
bro beaver is the nicest youtuber i know since a child i watched him and he still uploads this is what i love about him
Bro beaver makes me obsessed with any dinosaur game he plays
I love watching beaver play games he enjoys! It’s good to know that while we’re are having fun watching beaver play a game that he’s also having fun!
We can all agree that the saddest moment in beaver history is when he played as a black tip reef shark and died and his babas content recognise him in fish feed and grow
