Out of all the many 3D printing channels out there, esp re Cura, I have found that yours has become my primary go-to resource. It's important not just know the how, but also the why. Your explanations are clear, structured and very helpful. I'm no noob but still enjoy dipping into your videos out of interest or doing deeper dives out of necessity. As soon as I can, I'll be joining your patreon.

I see some people are ungrateful for others giving their time and help to others.
Whether there old or new the way the 3d market is growing the more help and instructions to different software work and how different features work doesn’t go a miss.
If you’re not happy then don’t watch simple as that.
On a brighter note thanks Chris for yet another informative video as always, keep up the brilliant work that you provide to us fellow modellers.
Oh ps how’s the life size bulbasaur coming along, I know you been busy with the new work area which looks really good, love the workbench’s they look real sturdy.
🍺🍺 keep up the good work

I looked for the tree support, and the cura on my computer doesn’t have it. How can I get it? Thanks I have the 5.7-1 version

Click on your Print profile, below the save disk icon there are three bars. Click on them and show all settings. Go to Supports, click generate supports. It will now show all the settings for Supports. The Support Structures will show Normal, click on that and select Tree Supports.

The title is very misleading & the video has been a waste of time. This is just a beginners guide to Cura and doesn't teach/show anything new that hasn't already existed for well over a year. 👎

Hello Chris: I like watching your videos - helpful and informative - I thought in the past that you made a step-by-step video on how to adjust the Cura settings so that one could slice with Cura and run on the FlashForge 5M.
I can’t seem to find that particular video again - if it wasn’t you (I apologize); hopefully, you could direct me on how to locate that video.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to viewing more of your future videos.

Is there any way to make the tree supports have in inside brim in Cura??

Hi Bud thanks for this lesson. Didnt know anything about this until now. I have recently aquired a 3d printer and have watched many of your lessons and they really help. Unfortunately I am a little impatient and started to make a mandalorian cosplay costume. Until now im doing quiet well but when i try and print some of the sections of armour im failing dismally. The main pieces are tall and thin and I seem to be having a problem about 18hrs into the build because it either looks like its shifting about a few mm or it just breaks off somewhere on the build. (usually on a tree support somewhere. Any ideas where i could be going wrong.

Hey! Sometimes it’s easier to just split the model in half and then just glue them together. Especially if they are thin. If you don’t do that you will just have to overload it with extra supports to give it a good structure to prevent failing. If you do split it go to the Cura marketplace and look up the plugin called “banana split”
      Good luck hope that helps

@@ItsMeaDMaDe Hi. Thanks for the reply so fast. I tried to download the plugin for banana split and a couple of others while I was at it but they dont come up in my extensions list even after reboot. im using the up-to-date vers (5.7.1) tried to ask cura why its not working and it wont even let me login at the moment. I did get a totally random extension to load just to see if it was me being a dick but no. I must be doing someting wrong. Im so sorry to bother you with this but im at the end of my rope and the printer may be going out the window pretty soon.

@@MrWoody17309 this has happened to me with Ann earlier version. The solution for me was I completely uninstalled Cura and then reinstalled it. This may work.
