Honestly. Ive been watching riverdale since day 1. And all i read is hate on the musical episodes. I love them. The takent in this group of young actors is phenomenal. And this song gives me goosebumps. Im old and jaded now. But this song gives the young queer kid in me so much happiness
I couldn't agree more. I adore the musical episodes. It's clear that the director's first love is musical theater, and there are so many actors in the group with serious singing and dancing skills, so it's a good fit. And this final Archie musical is wonderfully queer inclusive.

The kiss isn't fake. They are really kissing. The AUDIO of the kiss may be added in post-production, but that happens with lots of sounds (sizzling steaks & other cooking sounds, etc.)

Even amateur video production software has a shit ton of every day sounds like things being set down or moved around, windows being closed, baby sounds, etc. It's called "Audio Design", & it's not just applause, traffic, or special effects sounds. They give awards for audio design. But sometimes the audio is a little off. In bad movies, it can be funny! I've seen some hilariously delayed sounds in clips used in reviews of bad movies.

I never understand what happened between Betty and Veronica. When I first watched this scene, I was convinced they're falling in love with and that they're bisexual which is more convincing given their kiss during the song, their previous attempt to kiss and when they talked about it afterwards. But the next episode made it like this moment never happened and Veronica got together with Jughead instead. Not only I was disappointed, I am confused because it doesn't make sense. When Betty said "there are more emotionally complex mountains to climb", it sounded like they meant dating each other. But now I don't know what that means anymore🤔😒

Veronica just kissing jughead out of nowhere and her and Betty not speaking upon their feelings ever again. lmfao what a joke and utter lazy and cheap writing. I'm so mad lmao. I can totally see why Barchie, Varchie and Bughead fans have been so disappointed about this season. I never cared for ships too much, but when you spend literally over half of the season developing something then just drop it out of thin air for not reason, you lose my respect for the show. I just hope the cast get a great ending out of these last two episodes. But I don't have any faith in RAS to deliver what they truly deserve and do justice to these great characters.

The kiss isn't fake. They are really kissing. The AUDIO of the kiss may be added in post-production, but that happens with lots of sounds (sizzling steaks & other cooking sounds, etc.)

Anyone notice that the kissing sound is a little delayed when you look at their lips or is it just me?
Kissing & lots of other audio sounds are added in post-production editing. Not everything pics up well on the mic. Even amateur video production software has a shit ton of every day sounds like things being set down or moved around, windows being closed, baby sounds, etc. It's called "Audio Design", & it's not just applause, traffic, or special effects sounds. They give awards for audio design. But sometimes the audio is a little off. In bad movies, it can be funny! I've seen some hilariously delayed sounds in clips used in reviews of bad movies.

That doesn't neccessarily help. What matters is that Lili is a talented actress. Another bisexual actress may not be convincing at all. There are hetero women who have great chemistry with their onscreen, female love interest & are totally believable as a female couple. I never understand what happened between Betty and Veronica. When I first watched this scene, I was convinced they're falling in love with and that they're bisexual which is more convincing given their kiss during the song, their previous attempt to kiss and when they talked about it afterwards. But the next episode made it like this moment never happened and Veronica got together with Jughead instead. Not only I was disappointed, I am confused because it doesn't make sense. When Betty said "there are more emotionally complex mountains to climb", it sounded like they meant dating each other. But now I don't know what that means anymore🤔😒
