I felt bad for you when you were tying to get the exhaust manifold off, there is no way it could get worse than that, right? WRONG! My heart sank for you when the new head gasket was leaking. You took it better than I would have. Glad you left the video here. That's some of the reasons I like you, you make mistakes like the rest of us, you have MANY of the same tools I do, and you keep it real. Thank you.
Absolutely. I had a few choice words when I learned I had the wrong gasket. I just had to sit there for an hour and cool off and re-research what went wrong. Most welcome sir 👍🏼
Very informative. You took away some of the anxiety about doing some of the mechanical work myself. This engine is super simplistic. I was just gifted a 1050 that they say was running, but needs a new clutch. Figured it be a good project to test my skills on. Never worked on a tractor so this ought to be fun. By the way, great close up shots and lighting. It’s always nice to get a clear, well lit view.
You were gifted a 1050? FANTASIC! They are great little tractors. Very mechanical and reliable! I’ve never split one apart so do a little homework on it. But don’t be scared. Use common sense, take your time, use quality parts, and get your hands on the OEM repair manual binder. Glad to shed some light on this tractor for you!
Yep, have a Case 300 round nose with 5ft bush mower and a Case 930 diesel I haven't heard run yet. Life to busy... live vicariously through you!@@SwedeMachine
On studs, and running a turbo... those manifold studs are welded in. Better if they were bolts not studs. Studs easier to mount... never good for an extended time dismount. Like you said, heat fixes most domestic situations... except arguments with the wife... keep cool!

👍Tractors, trucks, I enjoy them both. Yanmar made great diesel engines.
Yanmar are great power plants. Tough little buggers 🙂
Like to see the Allis Chalmers tune up this summer
I’ll see what I can do for you Robbie my boy 😌
Of course, the ford pickup "Old Yeller" has priority 😊
Yessss. We will get back to it shortly😉
Case DC... Case DC... Case DC! Probably not a 1959... a 49 maybe... probably earlier... oil up the engine and tackle later this summer!
Haha someone is a Case fan. 😁 I’ll make a note of that. I think the DC is a 51 but I would have to pull the numbers off of it. 💪🏼
