@serge jacinto - Congrats! You've won yourself a set of Orangatang Kegels! Can you please hit me up at nathan@eskatehub.com and we can get these wheels to you!
Those cords that come in the box. The first one is to connect directly to the ESC for diagnostic purposes. The second one you show is to charge the battery while outside the enclosure. The second one is very useful if you have more than one battery.
I'm just curious what speed mode you had in at the speed test, I have meepo mini 2 I usually have it in level 3 which I casually go about 28-35 mph on a straight path, level 4 I've gotten it to go 43 at max, just kinda curious what you had yours at
Hi. What is the ground clearance on this board? Also, if you ride through puddles or on wet roads (as commuters must necessarily do at times) will it throw water onto your pants?
The ground clearance is 70mm (2.75") to the enclosures. As for riding through puddles, I haven't tested it, but you'll almost definitely flick water/mud up if you ride through too fast.
How can it be the “best all-terrain” when you don’t do all terrain in the video? What do you compare it to? Does it goes in dirt, sand, trail, beach? That would be cool to see that!
Hahaha, yeah I know it's weird that I don't do any AT riding in the video. It was already such a long video, I thought I'd split it into two. I have a AT-only review for the Meepo City Rider 2 coming out very soon.
Hey I'm considering this board but get range anxiety alot would this board be a good board to get and be able to keep a extra battery in your backpack just in case if needed and if yes about how long of a change would you think it would be?
It depends how far you have to go on your rides. You could definitely keep extra batteries in your backpack, but keep in mind that each battery pack is quite large and heavy. It's fairly easy to swap the battery on this one, I'd recommend taking a small battery drill with you to make the swap a lot faster. It takes less than 5 minutes to swap with a drill and I'd say around 10 minutes if you were to do it with a t-tool.
Finally an electric skateboard with all terrain wheels under $1k USD! This is really going to put pressure on Wowgo, evolve and backfire to finally drop the prices on the ATs!!!!!!!!
I haven't yet had a chance to ride the Ranger X3 so I couldn't give you an educated answer. On paper, they look fairly similar. The two biggest differences to consider are the motors and the trucks. The Meepo City Rider 2 has planetary gear motors, as opposed to the Ranger X3 having hub motors, so the City Rider 2 might have more low-end power. Also, the Ranger X3 has double kingpin trucks which aren't for everybody. They can sometimes be a little sketchy at high speeds. Again, this is all speculation because I haven't ridden the Ranger X3.
There's really not that much required at all. They are a lot like Hub drives, so there's no moving parts outside of the motor cans, it's all on the inside.
My main question is (which now one seems to be talking about)... is dirt, grit, sand, etc. going to get into the exposed sections of the motor wheels. It really looks like there should be a cover on the hub, like how all their other hub motors have. Are they prioritizing the aesthetic of an open faced watch? Because that seems like a recipe for replacing wheels months if not weeks after putting this board to legitimate real-world use.
This is a really interesting point to bring up. The motors are open at the outside of the rear wheel. You've got me thinking about this implication now. I'm going to do a proper off-road test for the City Rider 2 so all will be answered then.
@@eSkateHub looking forward to the update! It just seems pretty reckless to have open and exposed motors when it's marketed as a semi-AT board. Heaven forbid the board runs through a puddle by accident... Doesn't seem overly forgiving.
🤔 this board has me thinking how much eboards are going to improve over the next few years. For the price, this is a very good looking board! I'm still very excited for your Zealot review! P.S. I love the addition of on board video footage in your review! Hope to see more for the zealot video. Also, very jealous of the weather in your parts because it's raining so much in England right now :(
Yeah, there's going to be a massive improvement to eboards in the future! The Zealot Review is next! Sorry it's taken so long... You'll be happy to know I have onboard footage for the Zealot. It's so much easier to share how the board actually feels when riding. Thanks for watching 😊😊
Yeah, it's a lot smoother, mainly due to having huge wheels. The downside is that the motors are really loud. Pretty much the same as a belt drive, maybe a tad more.
Meepo & Ecomobl’s owners are long time friends. They have worked together in different ways in the past and have done so again here. These planetary gearing motors are from Ecomobl. Except Ecomobl has steel bearing versions inside the Ecomobl ET, along with a more powerful 50 amp esc option, and a larger and higher powered 12S3P Samsung 40T battery, along with a drop down deck and integrated lighting system. The Ecomobl ET is basically the special edition of this. That said, this is a good budget way into planetary gearing.
@@eSkateHub You should consider reviewing the Ecomobl M24. Very few have and it’s an absolute beast worthy of review. It was also updated with 40T high amp cells. Your hill climbing norm won’t be sufficient. What would be wild would be to see someone try a much steeper hill climb with it. The thumbnail designs itself. :-)
🔥looks very cool! Would you recommend getting the city rider 2 or the WowGo AT2? Not looking for anything to do serious off-road riding just a smooth ride in rough conditions + good hill climb
I have the WowGo AT2 sitting in a box at the moment. I'm going to do a review for it this week and release the video next week. But I'll comment here what I think of the WowGo after I've ridden it.
@@eSkateHub Thank you, I'll definitely wach your video then! It would be amazing if you could put a direct comparison of the boards into the video since their so similar.
Hey how bout the wheels do we have to worry about debris or dirt to enter the rare wheel mortar if so please give a thought and experience about the board regarding the planetry gear mortar. :)
Yeah, this question has come up a lot recently. So far, I haven't had any issues. I'm going to do a proper Off road test for the City Rider 2, so I'll also open up the motors and see how dirty they are.
🤤 It looks so great and its PERFECT anyone who complains about the branding just doesn't understand. It looks fantastic and probably performs even better.🤤
Did you mention how much the board weighs? do you know the main ESC difference between meepo and hobbywing? NO. one is the hobbywing and the other Lingyi. (kinda important!!) Not to mention the fact that this board does no wherenear the range.
The board weighs 11.3kg. Yeah, the City Rider 2 is running a LingYi with some Meepo mods. I mentioned that I _wasn't sure_ if it was Hobbywing. That was probably a little confusing. As for the range, I'm a bigger guy and I push the boards to their upper-performance limits so I'm always going to get a lower range. Someone of average weight (70-85kg) who is just cruising along is going to get a lot more range. It's always going to vary from rider to rider.
@@burieddeepbetween I ordered it the day I got the email and it arrived 3 days later... idk how! I’ve been riding it more and more and I’m beginning to like it. It’s very loud tho. It gets kinda annoying

Hi. What is the ground clearance on this board? Also, if you ride through puddles or on wet roads (as commuters must necessarily do at times) will it throw water onto your pants?

@@eSkateHub Ty for the answer...... Damn then it's nothing for me, need the flex.
