My momentary button stopped working in the Fall of 2022 and I struggle every time I get out on the lake to have an enjoyable day of fishing. Come here to say thanks. I watched your video while trying to trouble shoot my trolling motor on the water. When I got home I ordered the replacement reed switch from you. It shipped the very next day and came with clear instructions and everything I needed to make the repair. I’m back in business and my trolling motor works as it’s supposed to!

Brand new boat and Minn Kota Maxxum 24v trolling motor. Momentary button worked 50% of the time for the first two weeks and then quit altogether. Still under warranty but would take two weeks for dealer to repair. Plus dealer is 60 miles away. Ordered a replacement reed switch kit. Got here in under a week and took less than 5 minutes to replace after watching this video. Now works like a champ. No waiting on the dealer and buying the switch was less than the cost of gas to drag the boat back and forth to the dealer. Many thanks!!

If I have a bad reed switch, should I be able to use my remote to control my Ultrex? If they both work intermittently, is there potentially an issue with the head of my Ultrex? At a speed setting of 1 I don't get any movement from the prop and it seems that when the prop turns it is turning slower than what the speed setting is.

My trolling motor steering is way to fast barely push pedal and it spins all the way around can't keep the boat straight
