Cinematic liberty was used to depict that Tanhaji killed Udaybhan but in fact Tanhaji did fight valiantly and fell to the ground. This was also true that despite Udaybhan cut Tanhaji's hand off, he kept on fighting with his left hand. But unfortunately he fell unconscious at a certain point after which Maratha soldiers were retreating. Tanhaji's Mama, the legend Shelar Mama, who was at the age of 80, cut the ropes which they used to climb the cliff and shouted that nobody will retreat. The valiant Shelar Mama then ran towards Udaybhan and cut him half. Udaybhan was very dangerous and brave and he also had an edge over any Maratha commander out there, but no strength is higher than Maratha army's Josh, Bhavani Mata's Ashirwad and an Uncle's love for his nephew and the Swarajya. Udaybhan was brutally killed by Shelar Mama in the battle.
